How to Wait for Mizhi to Unravel the Ultimate Mechanics
Wait 24 Hours in Real Life
In order to wait for Mizhi to unravel the ultimate Mechanics, you need to wait for 24 hours in real world time from the time you complete The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics - I. Passing the in-game timer and playing the game normally do not work.

Complete The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics - I
You need to complete the The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics - I to unlock the second part of the questline.
Wait for 24 Hours
Note that you cannot start the quest right away as you will need to wait for Mizhi to unravel the ultimate Mechanics. Once this appears in the quest log, you need to wait 24 hours in real world time for the quest to unlock.

Talk to Qingshu
Head to Tiger's Maw Mine and find Qingshu at the upper level. Talk to her to start the side quest.
Solve the First Mechanics
Much like in the first quest, you need to move the Magnetic Cube towards the Magnetic Conveyors to reach the end point and solve the puzzle.
- Interact with the Control Panel
- Move the Cube to the South Side
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Move the Cube to the North Side
- Move the Cube to the East Side
- Interact with the Control Panel
- Move the Cube to the South Side
- Move the Cube to the East Side
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel in the middle of the puzzle area so that a new conveyor point appears south of the cube's starting position.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Use a basic attack to move the cube to the south side.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side towards the nearby Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the North Side
Move the cube to the north side.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel to move the Magnetic Conveyor to its original position.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side towards the end point to complete the puzzle.
Solve the Second Mechanics
The second Magnetic Cube puzzle includes two Magnetic Conveyors that change positions when you interact with the control panel.

Before moving the cube, interact with the control panel to move the Magnetic Conveyors.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side towards the nearby Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube south towards the bottom Magnetic Conveyor.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel to move the placement of the Magnetic Conveyors.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side, passing through the invisible Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the North Side
Move the cube to the north side, so it is on the top-right corner of the puzzle area.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side towards the bottom of the end point.
Move the Cube to the North Side
Move the cube to the north side to reach the end point.
Solve the Third Mechanics
The third Magnetic Cube puzzle includes a barrier puzzle that changes when you interact with the control panel.

Before moving the cube, interact with the control panel to move the Magnetic Conveyors and the barrier.

Move the cube to the east side, passing through the invisible Magnetic Conveyors.

Move the cube to the north side.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel to move the hologram barrier and the Magnetic Conveyors.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side, passing through the invisible Magnetic Conveyors.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel again to add a Magnetic Conveyor near the cube.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side beside the nearby Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side so you can use the control panel after.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel to move the Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the North Side
Move the cube to the north side.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side towards the end point to complete the puzzle.
Head to the Abandoned Mine
Follow the blue marker towards the bottom level of the mine.
Investigate the Abandoned Mine and Search for Mizhi
Defeat the ice flower on the left corner to open the ice wall. Head inside the newly opened wall to find Mizhi inside. Wait for the cutscene to finish to complete the side quest.

I understand that I have to wait 24 hours, but is that cumulative? As in having to wait 24 hours as you play the game, you could leave the game and rejoin and it will continue the timer from where you left off, or you have to wait 24 hours in total, because I haven't gotten the quest yet. I'm not sure if I have to find her, or where to even find her.
