Is Wuthering Waves Playable on Steam Deck?

Wuthering Waves has been playable on the Steam Deck since its Steam release on April 29, 2025, although it is not officially supported.
While there has been no official confirmation regarding full compatibility with the handheld console, players have been attempting to run the game on the Steam Deck since its launch, though performance issues may still arise.

Performs Well With Steam Deck LCD Over OLED Models
Based on some community forums, players have reported that the Steam Deck LCD version has experienced more success running the game over OLED models, though it can most certainly try to run the game. Although there is no official announcement on this issue, its better performance on the Steam Deck LCD is widely acknowledged.
Performs Best on Low Graphics Settings
There have also been reports of frame drops when playing on higher graphics settings. While the game may initially run well in early areas, performance may decline in newer regions introduced from Version 2.0 onward.
To mitigate this, it’s highly recommended to use low graphics settings, disable features that increase load times, and set an FPS limit. Although this reduces visual quality, it remains the most reliable way to prevent frame drops on the Steam Deck for now.

Wuthering Waves is currently not listed as Steam Deck Verified, so game experience fidelity is not fully ensured. You can technically run the game, but some issues regarding log-in and UI have been reported by the community as of Version 2.4.

Kuro Games has acknowledged the player base and indicated its intention to improve the gaming experience on the Steam Deck. Players can expect to play the game more smoothly in future game updates.
