Encore is a beginner-friendly Main DPS whose combos are not hard to understand even though it involves some dodge and skill cancels. However, she only deals a lot of damage when in her ultimate form so Energy Regen is a bit important for her kit!

Encore is a hyper-offensive Fusion DPS unit that relies heavily on dealing damage with her Basic, Heavy, and Resonance Skills especially after using her Ultimate. This build focuses on increasing the Fusion DMG dealt by this character as much as possible.

Stringmaster is by far the best in slot weapon for Encore. The weapon not only boosts DMG by 12% but also increases ATK after using her Resonance Skill. Unfortunately, the weapon is part of the limited convene with Yinlin so players can only get it if Yinlin's banner is up. If you do not have Stringmaster, you can opt to use Cosmic Ripples as the second best Rectifier for Encore.

This team boasts two main DPS units with Changli and Encore, with the additional effect of boosting Encore's damage through Changli's Outro Skill. Both of the DPS are going to be supported by Shorekeeper's healing and buffs.
Encore will benefit greatly from Changli's Outro Skill that provides Fusion DMG buff, increasing her damage even more. Though Changli will still deal more damage in this setup, Encore can catch up using the buffs provided by Changli.

The healer slot can be filled by Shorekeeper ideally, due to the buff she specifically grants the Rover with her Inherent Skill 2, but Verina or Baizhi will suffice if you don't have her.

This team composition focuses on buffing Encore's overall performance in battle using extremely useful Outro Skills of the Sub-DPS characters. Choosing Yangyang will funnel energy towards Encore so she can use her Resonance Liberation Ultimate more frequently. Sanhua on the other hand will increase the Basic Attack damage dealt by Encore when she is switched after Sanhua.

While difficult to execute, Encore can actually parry enemy attacks in her normal form, using her third Basic Attack, as shown above.
The key to successfully landing the parry is to start the Basic Attack chain a second before the yellow circle shows up on your screen.
With this, you have to know which of the enemy's moves can be parried!
While you are still charging Resonance Energy in order to use your Ultimate, Encore's main source of damage should be her 5-part Basic Attack chain.
Do note that the chain can be shortened by dodge canceling or if you use her Resonance Skill at the last leg of the animation, as shown in the Recommended Combos section.
While in Encore's normal form, you can also use her Resonance Skill to deal damage. Note that you can trigger a follow-up attack when you press the Resonance Skill button again when the white aura around her appears.
As shown above, after casting Encore's Resonance Skill, you can actually switch out as soon as the animation starts.
This allows you to deal damage using a different character and then switch back to Encore in order to trigger the extra attack at the end!
Encore deals the most damage when she uses her Ultimate, allowing her to enter the Cosmos Rave state. During Cosmos Rave, almost all of Encore's ability will be enhanced.
During Cosmos Rave, Encore transforms into a melee DPS, and her Basic Attack gets enhanced. Like her Basic Attack in her normal form, the enhanced version can also be shortened using the same canceling techniques.
Encore's Resonance Skill will also be enhanced in Cosmos Rave. Unlike her Resonance Skill in Encore's normal form, this does not have a follow-up attack!
When Encore's Forte Gauge is fully charged, use her Heavy Attack by long pressing the button for Encore's Basic Attack.
While Encore charges the Heavy Attack, swap out to a different character since it takes time to charge. Doing this will not cancel the attack and when it is done, just swap back to Encore.
Never use Encore's charged Heavy Attack at the start of her Ultimate since it will abruptly end the Cosmos Rave state. Only use it before Cosmos Rave is about to end!

Encore's Basic Attack combo in her normal form is pretty simple to do. Just tap the Basic Attack button 5 times. On the fifth attack, dodge in any direction when the white aura around Encore appears.
Doing the cancel allows you to complete Encore's Basic Attack chain a bit faster since you are not committing to Basic Attack: Wooly Strike's full animation.

Unlike the combo above, this one is harder to execute but will deal more damage to enemies. The idea is to cancel the animation of Encore's fifth attack by casting her Resonance Skill before the white aura appears.
As the animation starts, immediately switch to a different character. Deal damage using their Intro Skill or Basic Attacks, then switch back to Encore to complete her Resonance Skill!

Encore's damage will come when she is inside her Cosmos Rave mode so it is important to level up her Resonance Liberation first. Afterward, her Forte Circuit and Resonance Skill comes next as secondary damage would come from those skills.
Though one can argue that part of her damage can come from Basic Attacks outside Cosmos Rave, we don't recommend investing ion Normal Attacks before the first three mentioned above. Optimal Encore playstyle should see her be in Cosmos Rave most of the time, so Resonance Liberation is the most important.
