Reach Union Level 20 and Complete SOL3 Ascension: Phase 1

When the Forest is No Longer Dim unlocks in your quest list after reaching Union Level 20 and successfully completing the Tutorial Quest SOL3 Ascension: Phase 1, which increases the level ceiling for overworld enemies.

1. Talk to the Anxious Researcher
2. Find the Missing Researcher
3. Head to the First Contaminated Zone
4. Head to the Second Contaminated Zone
5. Create Antibodies at the Researcher Camp
6. Head to the Third Contaminated Zone
7. Head to the Abandoned Research Institute
8. Climb to the Top of the Giant Tree

Talk to the Anxious Researcher

Talk to the Researcher located in front of Huaxu Academy, and will ask for your help about a distress signal he received from a Researcher.

Fast travel to the Huanglong-Dim Forest-Forbidden Forest Resonance Nexus and head to where the distress signal was sent. Defeat the Exiles present in the area and retrieve the key to free the Researcher held captive.

Find the Missing Researcher

Head into the contaminated zone and use the Sensor function to search for the missing Researcher. Follow the golden trail and interact with clues indicated by a golden beacon until you reach her location.

How to Use the Sensor

Head to the First Contaminated Zone

Position the Drones to Destroy the Offshoot Core

1	Activate Drone A
2	Hit Drone B once
3	Hit Drone C twice

Use any of your Pistol Characters, like Chixia, to shoot either side of the Drones and connect them sequentially so that the last drone faces the Offshoot Core and destroys it. You will be granted an Advanced Supply chest afterward.

Head to the Second Contaminated Zone

Position the Drones to Destroy the Offshoot Core

1	Activate Drone A
2	Hit Drone B once
3	Hit Drone C once
4	Hit Drone D twice
5	Hit Drone E once

Similar to the first Offshoot Core, align all of the Drones sequentially until the sound waves reach it. Once the Offshoot core is destroyed, you will be granted another Advanced Supply chest.

Create Antibodies at the Researcher Camp

Hand over all antibody ingredients to Qiaomu and Senmin as per their instructions to complete the antibody, then run after Hoohoo in the forest after he suddenly heads off.

Head to the Third Contaminated Zone

Position the Drones to Destroy the Offshoot Core

1	Activate Drone A
2	Hit Drone B twice until it connects to Drone C
3	Hit Drone D twice
4	Hit Drone E once

For the final Offshoot Core, repeat the same process from the first two locations and direct the sound waves sequentially through all of the Drones until they reach the Offshoot Core. After completing this, you will be granted another Advanced Supply chest.

Head to the Abandoned Research Institute

Hack Into the Signal Consoles

First Signal Console
Second Signal Console
Third Signal Console

After defeating all the contaminated Hoochiefs in the area, hack all of the signal consoles in order to gain access into the abandoned Research Institute.

Wait Until Tomorrow Evening

Set the Time between 17:00-19:00, and head back to the researcher camp

How to Pass Time

Climb to the Top of the Giant Tree

Once you reach the top of the tree, two Controlled Hoochiefs will spawn which you will have to defeat. A cutscene will play after successfully defeating them, granting you a Premium Supply chest afterward. Talk to the researchers again in order to complete this Exploration Quest.
