Hecate Location and How to Get to It

Located Near the Ragunna City Lighthouse

Hecate is located near the lighthouse within Ragunna City in Rinascita. You may access the boss early through the Weekly Challenge tab. You may also directly teleport to it after completing the Main Quest Chapter 2, Act 3: What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing.

How to Beat Hecate

Prepare for Second Phase

It's important to note that despite defeating Hecate for the first time, the fight isn't over. She will transform and bring you to the second phase so be prepared and don't let your guard down. She will have new moves, thus its crucial to know how to deal with them.

Phase 2 Juggle Combo

Hecate can deal a massive combo on you by throwing you up in the air. In this phase, she dashes behind you and slashes you upwards.

Avoid Juggling Combo

In relation to the previous point, during Hecate's first phase, one of the trickiest attacks to dodge would be her series of kicks and slashes that can set you up to be launched and vulnerable to more damage. You need to watch out for the third slash because this attack launches you upwards, even if you dodge the first two slashes.

Juggle Combo Cue

You will see this attack coming when Hecate raises its leg straight up, and then the tip of its foot will flash a bright light. There are reasonable gaps in between slashes to weave in your attacks.

Escaping Mid-Air

If you are caught in this combo and are trapped mid-air, you may escape by switching to another character if your Concerto Energy is full.

Counter the Long-Range Whip Attacks

One of the fastest ways to deplete this boss' shield in the second phase would be to counterattack during long-range whip attacks. Several Weakness Halos will appear during the attack, so make the most of it! Using ranged Resonators is not required, as hitting the incoming whip at the right time is enough.

Resistant to Havoc

Hecate is resistant to Havoc damage. Resonators like Rover (Havoc) or Camellya will deal less damage to this boss.
