Modding EXP can be earned in Wuthering Waves by completing the main story, opening chests, or defeating bosses, enemies, Void Storms and Nightmare Nests. See how to farm Modding EXP, as well as what it's used for here!

Complete Main Story Quests
A good way to quickly earn a large chunk of Modding EXP is to do the Chapter 3 Main Story Quests. These can provide thousands of Modding EXP for each quest completed, making these by far the best way to get a modding level.
Main Quest Walkthrough and Chapter List
Open Lahai-Roi Supply Chests
Opening any chest while in Lahai-Roi will also grant a small amount of Modding EXP as an additional reward. While it only grants about 20~ EXP per chest, the amount of chests that you can open means the reward can stack up.
All Lahai-Roi Supply Chest Locations
Defeat Lahai-Roi Boss Enemies
As of Version 3.0, Hyvatia and the Reactor Husk are two World Bosses that players can defeat for about 200 Modding EXP each time you defeat them. Note that you don't have to claim their rewards to get the Modding EXP.
Clear Void Storm Challenges
The Void Storms in Lahai-Roi will also grant Modding EXP as a reward when cleared, in addition to the Tidal Heritages that they award. These are marked individually on the map, making them easier to find.

Do Nightmare Nests in Lahai-Roi
Clearing the Nightmare Nests located in Lahai-Roi will provide Modding EXP as well as the new Sonata sets for each respective nest.
Nightmare Nest Locations and Rewards
Defeat Enemies in Lahai-Roi
Lastly, you can simply defeat enemies in the Lahai-Roi overworld to gain a small amount of Modding EXP, up to a cap of 5,000 Modding EXP per day.

Modding EXP is needed to raise your Motorcycle Modding Level, which influences your Motorbike's stats (like health, speed, and more). You are also provided with rewards like Astrite and development materials as additional rewards per level.
