The preload for the PC and mobile versions of Wuthering Waves 2.8 will start from November 18, 2025 until the release of Version 2.8 on November 20! Learn how to preload, the preload size, and a handy countdown to preload here!

The preload or predownload for Version 2.8 is now available! Make sure to download ahead of time so you can just jump in and enjoy the new update right after the maintenance!

How to Preload the 2.8 Update
Preload Using the PC Launcher
To preload, open the PC launcher interface and select the "New Version Pre-download" below the "Start" button. While preloading the 2.8 update, you can still go into the game to keep playing!
Preload on Mobile
Preload on Mobile is also available! Just tap the "Pre-download button" when prompted on the title screen!
Preload Download Size
20 GB File Size on PC
The preload size for the PC version of the 2.8 update is 20 GB, but it is recommended that you have atleast 30 GB on release for the decompression process.
It is also recommended to download the new version of the Launcher when prompted!
No Preload for Mobile in 2.8
For Version 2.8, preload will not be available on Mobile and will only be available on PC.
