How to Unlock Gig: Fifth Column

Quest Unlock Conditions Head to the El Coyote Cojo fast travel point and head west. Get close to one of the unknown side quest markers and wait for Sebastian Padre Ibarra to call you to begin this gig.

Objective Icon.pngEnter the restaurant.
As you enter the restaurant, make sure you don't have any weapon equipped to prevent instantly alerting all enemies. Then, head to the left to find the door leading to the office. But, before doing so, hack into one of the cameras and disable all cameras using Breach Protocol if you can. Then, hack all of the radios, TVs, and speakers you can find to make sure no one sees you as you sneak into the door to the office. Otherwise, this will be an all-out brawl.

Objective Icon.png Get inside the office.→Find incriminating evidence on the mayor's adviser.
As you get into second floor, sneak and enter the nearest office where another Valentino will be waiting for you. Distract him using the radio nearby. Sneak up behind him and then hack the TV just to his right to distract him further. Then, use that opportunity to steal the data from the computer. If you attacked earlier, this place will be empty, leaving you free to hack into the computer.

Leave and just as you reenter the restaurant, do not go full steam ahead and instead, hack the nearby machineries once more to distract the people (unless you cleared them out the first time). Head out carefully to finish the gig.

Gig: Fifth Column Choices and Best Choice

Stealth Mode vs. Guns Blazing

Stealth Mode Use quickhacks to distract enemies. You can hack the camera system in order to disable all cameras so that you can preserve your remaining RAM for distracting enemies.
Guns Blazing You can use a variety of grenades in this area to quickly dispose of the Valentino members who tend to stay in clusters. There are plenty of alleyways where the melee Valentinos will come at you so guard those as well.

Best Choice

Stealth mode is the way to go here as there are quite a few Valentinos to contend with, both melee and ranged. The timing of quickhacking and then when to move will need to be precise in order to get out of the restaurant unscathed.

Tips and Strategies

Plenty of RAM

Since quickhacking is recommended here, having a lot of RAM will be useful. Having an Epic or Legendary Operating System cyberware can be useful since they have high RAM.

Use Perks

The Weak Link perk will be useful here as it reduces quickhacking costs for devices as well as the Big Sleep perk which disables all cameras in the network for 3 minutes.

For those who happen to be doing this Gig with Fortified Ankles or Reinforced Tendons, you're in luck as there is a shortcut to the office just at the back of the restaurant. One goon will be there and if you have the System Reset quickhack, use it to dispose of him quickly. Double jump or super jump into the open window and hack the computer and voila! The mission's done!
