Quest Objectives

  1. Get In The Car
  2. Enter Dodger's Base
  3. Reach The Elevator
  4. Locate Bill and Charles
  5. Knockout or Kill The Guard
  6. Unlock The Door
  7. Confront Dodger

1. Get In The Car

Drive towards the objective marker to find Stella waiting for you inside of a parked car. You will need to sit in the passenger's seat to progress this quest.

2. Enter Dodger's Base

Just across the street from where Stella was parked is the abandoned NCPD precinct Dodger uses as a base. Head over to progress the gig.

Once you enter Dodger's base, you will be treated as a threat and enemies will turn hostile if they spot you.

3. Reach The Elevator

Head towards the southeastern side of the precinct interior to locate an elevator that will take you to the basement.

4. Locate Bill And Charles

After exiting the elevator, V will hear one of Dodger's men screaming at someone behind a locked door. Use this opportunity to get the jump on the unsuspecting enemy.

Once you've dealt with the hapless guard, face the door and speak to the person behind the door, who turns out to be Charles.

5. Knockout or Kill The Guard

After agreeing to help Bill and Charles escape the base, follow the pair until you reach a door where the two will argue about the correct passcode.

Behind this door is a guard that will prompt both Bill and Charles to hide, leaving V to deal with the guard before you can progress the gig.

Deal with this guard however you choose.

6. Unlock The Door

Proceeding further through the base will lead the trio to a locked door which constantly short circuits according to the message in the nearby computer.

To unlock this door, follow the thick wire cords that lead from below the door towards a red server room. Overide the fusebox inside to open the previously locked door.

7. Confront Dodger

Openning the locked door and entering the garage will lead to a confrontation with Dodger. From here, V can try to lie on behalf of Bill and Charles or admit to him that Bill and Charles were lying.

However V decides to play out the event, the gig will complete after the confrontation.

Tips and Strategies for Gig: Waiting for Dodger

Use Blunt Weapons

Upon meeting Stella for the first time, she will ask the player not to kill any of Dodger's men.

Avoiding bloodshed by using non-lethal or blunt weapons to dispatch your enemies. Proceeding this way will help V during his dialogue with Dodger towards the end of the gig.

Gig: Waiting for Dodger Choice Guide

Should You Lie or Tell The Truth?

Choice Outcome
He's telling the truth Dodger turns hostile
He's lying V can try to convince Dodger to take it easy on Bill and Charles
Success if V does not kill any of Dodger's men
Fails if V kills any of Dodger's men
Draw Weapon Dodger turns hostile

Both Bill and Charles will try to lie to Dodger when he arrives at the garage. By helping them lie to Dodger, Dodger will mention how he doesn't enjoy looking like a fool and turn hostile.

If V tells Dodger the truth by exposing Bill and Charles' lies, he can proceed to convince Dodger to go easy on the pair. Dodger will leave the group alone if V did not kill any of his men on his way to Bill and Charles.

Dodger will turn hostile if V killed any of Dodger's men.

Kill Dodger

It is actually beneficial for V to fight Dodger, since he drops the Iconic Power Revolver, Rosco.
