Tom's Diner

Objectives

Objective Icon.pngApproach the stranger.→Dig yourself out.
Walk forward and attempt to speak to the mysterious figure while following it up the stairs. Remove the debris and crawl out.

Objective Icon.pngNeutralize the motorcyclists.→Sleep.
Use the air hypo immediately – if the timer runs out, you will die. Take out the men on bikes. Afterwards, call Delamain and you will head towards Viktor's place. Speak with Viktor when you come to, then talk with Misty. Your choices here won't have a significant effect on the story.

Objective Icon.pngTalk to the stranger. or Leave the apartment.→Crawl toward the pills.
You can either ignore Johnny or listen to what he has to say, either way he'll approach you. Crawl across the floor and grab the pills.

Objective Icon.pngLeave the apartment.→Meet with Takemura.
There are multiple optional objectives but they won't make too much difference. Do what you need to do and head out of your apartment. Takemura will call you and tell you to meet him in Tom's Diner. You'll have to go on foot as your car isn't available without completing a quest at this time.

Sit down and hear what Takemura has to say. After some dialogue the quest will end.

Playing For Time Tips and Strategy

No Vehicles

If you want to accomplish side quests before doing this quest, be advised that your car will be disabled for now, since you need to accomplish the Human Nature quest to gain access to your car.

This means that if you want to accomplish quests far away from the current objective, travelling will have to be done by running or through Fast Travel. Alternatively, you could wait 10 hours (no skipping) to wait for your car to get fixed.

If you do not want to wait, there are two possible options: one, you could grab a bike from one of the Tyger Claws who are robbing a few people. Often times, they have motorbikes lying around that you can take. Stop their crime and the bikes are yours.

Or you could do the Heroes side mission which nets you Jackie's bike.

    • In the crafting screen, would love to see a comparison between what I'm currently equipped with vs what I've selected to craft. In the Inventory screen, I have no idea where any extra weight is without going into each category (weapons, clothes, etc). Please add some sort of weight indicator next to each category so I know exactly where I seem to be overloaded. In the Map, please mark completed items (assault in progress, access points), grey out the icons or something similar?

    • Nomad car is invisible in These Boots Are Made For Walking side quest.
