The Relic Skill Tree is initially unlocked by starting the Phantom Liberty DLC questline with Songbird, who gives you a few Relic points to start with.

Find Data Terminals for more Relics

You unlock more Relics by going around Dogtown and finding Militech Data Terminals to get Relic points. Unlike Perk points, you don't get Relic points from leveling up.

These Data Terminals aren't marked on your map, so you'll have to do quite a bit of exploring! We'll have a list of Data Terminal locations for unlocking Relics once the game is released.

Relic Skills are very powerful improvements on V's current arsenal, so it is encouraged to unlock all of them. There are skills though that are objectively better than others and should be prioritized to be taken first. For a quick tier list on which Relic Skills are the best, check out:

Jailbreak Tree

Relic Effect / Cyberware
Jailbreak Relic IconJailbreak Unlocks new abilities for Arm cyberwares: Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Projectile Launch System, and Monowire.

You can overcharge the Projectile Launch System by holding the fire button. This launches a burst of 5 projectiles that cover a larger area.

Attacking with Gorilla Arms now charges them up. When fully charges, a Strong attack would deal massive damage a creates a shockwave that staggers nearby enemies. Doing so will send the enemies flying.

Dismembering an enemy or performing a Finisher with Mantis Blades will charge the next Leap Attack. A charged Leap Attack with Mantis Blades have +30m longer reach and deals massive damage with a wide slash that hits the target and other nearby enemies. Killing enemies this way also dismembers them.

The Monowire now has a dedicated slot for Control quickhacks. To use the installed quickhack, charge the Monowire first. When fully charges, release the attack to deal damage and upload the quickhack without RAM cost.

Spatial Mapping Relic IconSpatial Mapping All leap attacks with Mantis Blades now cripple enemies and increase dismemberment chance for 10s.

Limiter Removal Relic IconLimiter Removal The shockwave from a charged Gorilla Arms attack now knocks down all enemies within range.

Launch Capacity Override Relic IconLaunch Capacity Override Increases the number of Projectile Launch System charges by 1.

Data Tunneling Relic IconData Tunneling When an enemy is affected by a Monowire-uploaded quickhack, normal Monowire attacks which hit that enemy and other enemies simultaneously will spread the quickhack to them.

Emergency Cloaking Tree

Relic Effect / Cyberware
Emergency Cloaking Relic IconEmergency Cloaking Activating Optical Camo during combat will cause enemies to lose track of you, giving you the chance to exit combat. To use this ability, you must have Optical Camo equipped to your Combat Gadget quickslot.

Sensory Protocol Relic IconSensory Protocol When crouched, being detected by an enemy will temporarily slow down. Dodge or Dash out of the enemy's line of sight to immediately exit combat. This skill has a cooldown of 120 seconds.

Vulnerability Analytics Tree

Vulnerability Analytics Relic IconVulnerability Analytics During combat, you can detect vulnerabilities in enemy armor and cyberwares. Hitting them gives 100% Critical Chance, +25% Armor Penetration, and triggers Weakspot damage bonuses. Also, dealing damage to a vulnerability causes an explosion that generates a 3m EMP blast.
Machine Learning Relic IconMachine Learning Destroying an enemy's Vulnerability grants +10% frequency of new Vulnerabilities appearing and +5% Critical Damage against Vulnerabilities. Base duration for the effect is 25 seconds. The effect and duration can stack 5 times, and reaching max stacks doubles the effects.
