★ Update 2.0: Changes to Perks, Cyberware, & UI
Vehicle combat has been introduced in the 2.0 Update of Cyberpunk 2077, which lets players use mounted weaponry and quickhacks while riding in a vehicle. Learn more about the new vehicle combat mechanic and how to unlock it here!
Vehicle combat gameplay is introduced in tthe 2.0 update whereplayers can now freely shoot enemies while driving. Vehicle Perks were also added to each Attribute to provide more thrill during clashes, roadkills, and possible Max Tac encounters in the game.
Scanning and using quickhacks on enemy vehicles while riding can now be performed during or outside of combat.
Actions like Floor It and Emergency Break require around 11 to 13 RAM in order to use, so having high RAM capacity is required. Usage of Sandevistan to slow down time while riding is also doable now, along with controlling the mounted weaponry to clear out enemies faster.
Use quickhacks on enemy vehicles to make them drive into walls, civilians, and NCPD officers as a tactic to overthrow them, buy time in escaping, and survive the chase!
Alongside vehicle combat, modified vehicles have also made their appearance in the base game. As of Update 2.0, players will be able to purchase, drive, and shoot Weaponized Vehicles armed with machine guns and missile launchers.
To use a vehicle's mounted weaponry, release the safeties of your weapons by hitting the indicated button. You will know they're primed if red lines appear at the front of the vehicle. Use these lines to guide your bullets toward their intended targets.
While the base game does feature weaponized vehicles for sale, none of them will have Missile Launchers yet. According to the Phantom Liberty DLC notes, missile launcher vehicles will be exclusive to the DLC.
Autofixers are also a newly added feature in the 2.0 update and act like an online store for purchasing vehicles from Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes. Weaponized vehicles have three bullets as an icon to differentiate from common ones, and are usually locked behind vehicle gigs.
How to Buy Vehicles from the Autofixer
