This is a guide on how to store items in your stash in Cyberpunk 2077. Learn how to deposit your items to avoid carrying too many, and to better organize all the weapons, armor, and other items you own.
List of Contents
The best way to store items is to call any vehicle, car or bike, and stand in front of its trunk. An option will appear on screen to Open stash, which will give you access to an unlimited storage space where you can store all the items you don't need at the moment, and retrieve items you have previously stored.
Players can find their previously stored items even if a different vehicle was used, and since vehicles will be used frequently for transport, this is the easiest way to access your items on the fly.
Action | PS4 | PC |
---|---|---|
Call for an active vehicle | Press while on foot |
V |
You'll have access to a vehicle from the start of the game, so this method can be used reliably at any point in the game.
Items can also be stored in the Stash room found behind a blue door in V's apartment. However, storing Items in your apartment is not recommended.
Based on our tests, although the in-game text says otherwise, we found that Items cannot be transferred between the apartment stash and vehicle stash.
Since the vehicle stash is much easier to use throughout the game, it's best not to leave any items in your apartment stash, as this will make them harder to access later.
It's possible that this issue will be fixed in the future, but since V's apartment is rarely visited, it's fine to stick with the vehicle stash either way.
