CD Projekt Red aims to release a full next-generation upgrade for the game on Xbox Series consoles and PS5 by the second half of 2021.
In an article published on Cyberpunk 2077's website, CD Projekt Red co-founder, Marcin Iwiński, states that they are prioritizing important fixes and updates and then moving on towards other plans for the game.
According to Cyberpunk 2077's official website and Twitter account, all copies of Cyberpunk 2077 released on Dec. 10, 2020 is compatible with next-gen consoles, including both the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
This means players don't have to worry if they need to buy another copy of Cyberpunk 2077 in order to play the game on next-gen consoles.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X will be compatible with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077, but without significant next-generation improvements. As all consoles will be receiving a Day 1 Patch, it's likely that there will be some adjustments to account for PS5 and Xbox Series X players.
The next-generation update announced for 2021 will upgrade the game to a next-generation level for free, so all players who purchase the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game can expect improvements – they'll just have to be patient.

In the crafting screen, would love to see a comparison between what I'm currently equipped with vs what I've selected to craft. In the Inventory screen, I have no idea where any extra weight is without going into each category (weapons, clothes, etc). Please add some sort of weight indicator next to each category so I know exactly where I seem to be overloaded. In the Map, please mark completed items (assault in progress, access points), grey out the icons or something similar?
