This is a guide to creating the Gorilla Arms build in Cyberpunk 2077. Check here for details about the build, what attributes to level up, which perks to choose, and what equipment to use.
List of Contents
Gorilla Arms are a set of cyberware that serves as an upgrade to V's fists. While not as ranged as most blunt weapons, they can be relatively quicker and has some nasty effects on them once equipped with the appropriate mods.
Similar to the Blunt Weapon build, the Body attribute will be the most valuable attribute for a Gorilla Arms build. It will give you melee bonuses as well as increase your health and stamina which will be crucial since with this build, you tend to go up close and personal, exposing you to damage.
|Body determines your raw physical power. In addition to allowing you to force open doors, each level of Body (starting from level 3) will:
- Add 5 Health Points
- Add 3 Stamina Points
- Increase damage with fists and Gorilla Arms by 3
Increase damage with melee weapons by 1.5%
Decrease movement penalty while grabbing an enemy and wielding on HMG by 6%
- Increase movement while grappling an enemy and enemy grapple duration by 5 sec
Technical Ability is a great secondary attribute to build up for a melee build. It raises defenses and includes some handy perks to boost defenses when closing in on enemies.
|Technical Ability represents your technical know-how. It allows you to unlock doors and use Tech weapons. Each increase in level will increase your Armor by 5%.|
|Perk||Steel And Chrome|
|Skill Tree||Body | Athletics|
|Required Attribute Lv.||9|
|Effect (Lv. 1)||Increases melee damage by 10%.|
Steel And Chrome is a flat damage increase to melee attacks. It can also be stacked to further increase damage making it great for any type of melee build.
|Skill Tree||Body | Street Brawler|
|Required Attribute Lv.||3|
|Effect (Lv. 1)||Increases damage from combo attacks with Blunt Weapons by 30%.|
If you are running with a blunt weapon melee build, this is a great perk with 3 levels. If you are using a battery and had just unleashed the charge of your Gorilla Arms, then, these would ensure a potent attack with each combo you land.
|Skill Tree||Body | Street Brawler|
|Required Attribute Lv.||10|
|Effect (Lv. 1)||Increases damage with Blunt Weapons by 1% for every 1% of missing Health.|
This is a good combo especially when you are low on health. This is incredibly helpful especially on the notoriously difficult Beat on the Brat missions that require you to use your fists while having to face incredibly strong opponents.
For this build, you would want to stick to the best kind of Monowire available.
|Gorilla Arms||・Gorilla Arms charge with each attack. When you perform a Strong Attack, they deal bonus damage based on the charge level. Gorilla Arms also allow you to force open locked doors and rip turrets from their bosses. Three mod slot available (kunckles, battery, universe).||€$ 100250|
Of course, to effectively use this build, you will need Gorilla Arms. It is basically an upgrade to your regular fists and can be changed to have added effects on them.
|Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan MK.5||
・Slows time by 70% for 20 sec. Cooldown 30 sec.
・Increases any damage dealt by 15% when Sandevistan is active.
・Increases Crit Chance by 20% and Crit Damage by 35% when Sandevistan is active.
This cyberware will allow you to deal more damage and higher chance of Critical hits landing. It even boosts your Critical damage which is crucial to make Monowire Build effective.
Warp DancerSandevistan MK.5
|QianT "Warp Dancer" Sandevistan MK.5||
・Slows time by 90% for 8 sec. Cooldown 30 sec.
・Activate by holding L1 and R1.
・Increases any damage dealt by 15%, Crit Chance by 10%, and Crit Damage by 50% when Sandevistan is active.
This cyberware has the bonus of increasing your Crit Chance and can be combo up with the Cold Blood bonuses to make your Monowire even deadlier.
|Heal-on-Kill||・Instantly restores 10% Health after defeating an enemy.||€$ 35000|
Since Monowires needs you to be up close and personal, there is a good chance you can get damaged. With every kill, you can restore your health with this cyberware.
|Pain Editor||・Reduces all incoming damage by 10%.||€$ 28000|
Partnered with Heal-on-Kill, you have a very resilient character that can dish out damage.
|Microrotors||・Increases attack speed by 25%.||€$ 14000|
This cyberware is excellent in making your attacks faster, making Monowire attacks even deadlier.
・Allows you to move and run more quietly. The sound of your footsteps will not carry as far.
This cyberware allows you to go around and get to your opponents faster and sneak to them without raising their attention.
Monowire has three applicable mods: the type of damage it does, added special effects and how much extra energy can your monowire charge. Here are the best confirmed ones so far.
|Gorilla Arms Mod||Effect|
|Animal Knuckles||Gorilla Arms deal phyiscal damage. Punching enemies applies Bleeding.|
|Knuckles - Thermal Damage||Gorilla Arms deal Thermal damage and have a small chance to apply Burn.|
|Knuckles - Chemical Damage||Gorilla Arms deal Chemical damage and have a small chance to apply Poison.|
|Knuckles - Electrical Damage||Gorilla Arms deal Electrical damage and have a small chance to apply Shock. Increases damage to drones, mechs, and robots.|
|Rin3U Battery||Gorilla Arms damage increased by 10%. Restores 100% stamina upon killing an enemy.|
|Black Market Battery||Increases max charge and charge damage by 100%|
This build focuses on Gorilla Arms and making sure you can use it effectively. While Gorilla Arms on its own is good, having additional Burn/Shock/Poison/Bleed damage will be extremely useful in certain situations.
|Weapon Type||Gorilla Arms|
|Equipment||Damage Increasing Mod, Attack Speed Increasing Mod, Gorilla Arms Damage Type Modifier|
|Additional Perks||Human Fortress, Efficient Blows, Payback, Like A Butterfly|
Depending on the damage type modifier you use, you may add the following perks:
Crimson Tide, Stuck Pig
These make the Bleeding status more potent and allows you to damage them further.
|Knuckles - Thermal Damage||
Burn Baby Burn
Increasing the duration of Burn will allow you to stay away while your Stamina is recovering.
|Knuckles - Chemical Damage||
Hasten The Inevitable, Neurotoxin
These two perks allow you to damage Poisoned enemies more.
|Knuckles - Electrical Damage||
This takes advantage of Electrical damage being effective against drones and robots, making your damage against them higher.
|Blunt Weapon Build||Stealth Build|

In the crafting screen, would love to see a comparison between what I'm currently equipped with vs what I've selected to craft. In the Inventory screen, I have no idea where any extra weight is without going into each category (weapons, clothes, etc). Please add some sort of weight indicator next to each category so I know exactly where I seem to be overloaded. In the Map, please mark completed items (assault in progress, access points), grey out the icons or something similar?
it's fine, I just took an older save before Takemura calls me
