Unlock this mission by choosing the right dialogue choices when talking to Johnny at his grave during the side job Chippin' In. Then, during the rooftop scene in the mission Nocturne OP55N1, wait for 5 minutes instead of choosing a dialouge to trigger the quest.

Clearing out the lobby in the beginning can be one of the most difficult parts of this quest. The two Arasaka soldiers with katanas are particulalry dangerous and can one-shot you if you are under-leveled.
Once V raises his gun to the first Arasaka soldier with the gun, take him out first. Before starting the mission, make sure the gun equipped is the one you want since you will have almost no time to react once the mission begins.
In order to take out these dangerous enemies, it is recommended to use the Projectile Launch System with Tranquilizer Rounds. It can be difficult to hit these enemies with their cyberware, but landing a single hit can take them out and allow you to focus on the slower, punching enemies.
When the two mechs land down, take cover behind the wall and apply quickacks like Short Circuit and Overheat while shooting at their weapons. If enough damage is applied, their weapons will fall off. Once that happens, they can only perform a stomping attack at close range. Just keep your distance and finish them off.
After heading down towards the control room, be sure to always stay behind cover. If you use the Projectile Launch System strategy, wait for an opening and focus on taking out one enemy at a time. Watch out for firing off your rocket at close range, as it will do massive damage to youself as well.
After clearing out the control room, you will walk out onto a platform with another mech and many robots. Take cover behind the door and use quickhacks on the robots. They will be in close proximity to each other, so grenades or a cyberware that applies quickhacks to multiple enemies can be highly effective here.
Unfortunately, the Projectile Launch System strategy isn't effective on Adam Smasher, but luckily a series of well-placed quickhacks can make short work of him.
Applying the Cyberware Malfunction quickhack will leave Smasher virtually defenseless while the hack is being applied. Use this opening to lay on damage. Other quickhacks such as Short Circuit and Overheat are also effective against him.
All Endings Guide and Best Ending
The decisions made in this mission will ultimately lead to the same endings. The only difference is that Rogue will be alive.
If you choose to cross the bridge with Alt in Mikoshi, you will receive the Temperence ending
If you choose to enter the well and go back to your body, you will receive The Sun ending.
The Sun ending is typically preferred to other ones simply due to the fact that V is alive in his own body at the end of the game. He is dying, but the last big job he intends to complete foreshadows that their may be a way to stop him from dying.
Our playthrough of getting through Arasaka Tower!
Below is a list of the gear we used while going through Arasaka Tower. We recommend using this gear .
Weapon | Comrade's Hammer |
---|---|
Quickhacks | Short Circuit, Contagion, Overheat |
Cyberware | Projectile Launch System with Tranquilizer Rounds |
Getting through Arasaka Tower in the Secret Ending is one of the toughest challenges in the game. If you die during the raid, the credits will roll and you'll have to go back to a previous file for another attempt. You'll want to be sure to max out all your levels and stats, and that you are prepared with the Best Weapons and Best Clothing before attempting it.
To get through this gauntlet, you'll need to make your way through Arasaka Tower's main entrance, find an elevator, and then reach Mikoshi via the Netrunners Operations area.
It can be a good idea to practice with the Rogue Ending first to get familiar with the layout, as you'll pass through these same locations in this ending as well.
