After the scene aboard the FIA AV in the previous quest, you will wake up in a room with Reed, who will tell you how the surgery went. Continue the conversation and Reed will leave the room for you to process everything.
You will notice some unread messages that your friends have left while you were out. Call each of them and tell them the reason for your absence, and ask how they've been.
When you're done calling your friends, use the intercom to leave for Night City. A Delamain cab will take you near Vik's clinic, now under Zetatech.
Leave the clinic after talking to Vik. You will soon run into the thugs from earlier who will knock you down the stairs.
Misty will find you and help you up and tell you about the past two years for her and the esoterica. See her off as she leaves Night City to complete the quest.
