Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

This build strikes the balance between quickhacking, going all out on gunfights, and slicing enemies up with your blade. It's for both beginner players and players who likes to dabble into different playstyles without committing into a single one. Become Night City's next great Solo mercenary!

Weaknesses

The build lacks the full potential of a singular playstyle. For more builds on a specific playstyle, check out our builds guide! This will range from a bonk blunt weapon build to being the best netrunner in Night City!

All-Rounder Beginner Best Attribute Build

Attribute Progression

Build Attributes
Lv. Body Reflex Tech Intel Cool
1 4 6 3 6 3
10 6 9 4 6 6
50 15 20 6 15 15
60 20 20 11 15 15

The max level is only up until 50 in the base game. Purchase Phantom Liberty to reach level 60.

For an all-rounder build, start by focusing your attribute points into Reflexes, Body, and Intelligence. With these three, you'll be mobile, have increased health early, and be able to upload daemons and quickhacks to make some missions easier to complete.

While leveling up, put in points in the Cool attribute to not only help with your Sniper Rifle headshots, but also help out in your stealth, giving you the option to be incognito in some gigs.

Only at later levels should you put points in the Technical Ability tree. You'll be experimenting a lot with your Cyberware so consider this as your final powerup whenever you find the proper chrome to use throughout the game!

All-Rounder Beginner Build Relic Skill Priority

Take Vulnerability Analytics to Target Weakspots

Priority Main Skill Branch Skill
1st Vulnerability Analytics Relic Icon Vulnerability Analytics Machine Learning Relic Icon Machine Learning
2nd Emergency Cloaking Relic Icon Emergency Cloaking Sensory Protocol Relic Icon Sensory Protocol
3rd Jailbreak Relic Icon Jailbreak Spatial Mapping Relic Icon Spatial Mapping

As soon as you unlock the Relic Skill tree, invest points into Vulnerability Analytics then branch off to Machine Learning. This will grealy improve your combat, being able to wipe out enemies by targeting their weakspots. Ideal for big boss fights!

Then, priortize Emergency Cloaking to Sensory Protocol. This is when things get too rough and you need a quick getaway.

We recommend Jailbreak last. This is because most of your damage from before you get the Relic Skill tree will still be significant in the later stages of the game, so powering up your Arms Cyberware is not top priority.

Relic Skill Tree Available in the DLC

Please take note that the Phantom Liberty expansion is needed to access the Relic Skill Tree.

▸Applying a Burn or Overheat effect against an affected enemy will cause the leaked toxic substance to detonate. The explosion removes Contagion's effect.
▸+15% damage with this quickhack against each subsequent enemy it spreads to.

Uploading Contagion will not only deal damage-over-time to an enemy, but will also spread after neutralizing the one you uploaded it to. This is perfect in dealing with mobs of enemies. When you get a Tier 2 Contagion, queue hack with Overheat to detonate the toxins leaking from the enemy, dealing AoE explosion damage!

How to Play the All-Rounder Beginner Build

Be Flexible With Your Playstyle

This build accounts for a very flexible playstyle. Upload your quickhacks and watch enemies go down while also be open to the option of going Rambo and mow down enemies with your Assault Rifle or SMG. Maybe even stay undetected or snipe people from far away. Iny any case, it's up to you how to approach fights in Night City!

Take Advantage of Your Stealth Options in Gigs

In some gigs, you will benefit more if you stay undetected. This build accounts for that, giving you the option of completing the mission without raising a single alarm!

Have Fun Mowing Down Enemies

In any case, this build progression can take you far into the story. Look for the playstyle that you want to have fun with!

Perks to Add Attribute:

This alternative build is when you want to swap out the Netrunner style of gameplay to a more agressive Sandevistan one.

When swapping to the Sandevistan Operating System, all perks from the Intelligence attribute becomes obsolete. Refund your perk points from this attribute and put it on Cool. Focus on getting powerups for your throwable weapons.

Then, you can swap out your Sniper Rifle for a Revolver. Along with your throwable weapon, activate Sandevistan and wreck havoc with easy revolver and knife headshots.

Attributes Stay the Same

The attributes for this build stays the same even when replaced with Sandevistan. This will still give you the option to swap back into a Cyberdeck, giving the build more flexibility. In any case, have fun with both playstyles!
