Role in the Story

V is the playable mercenary who Cyberpunk 2077's plot revolves around.

The digitized consciousness of Johnny Silverhand get embedded into V's brain after stealing a biochip. As the story progresses, V must choose whether to side with Johnny against the Arasaka Corportation or defy him.

Player Character

V is the main protagonist of the game and is controlled by the player. V's appearance, gender, and more are fully customizable.

V's backstory and lifepath history are entirely dependent on the Character Customization the player chooses. Choosing V's Lifepath history, as either being Nomad, Street Kid, or Corporate, has deep impact on the game's plot.

    • In the crafting screen, would love to see a comparison between what I'm currently equipped with vs what I've selected to craft. In the Inventory screen, I have no idea where any extra weight is without going into each category (weapons, clothes, etc). Please add some sort of weight indicator next to each category so I know exactly where I seem to be overloaded. In the Map, please mark completed items (assault in progress, access points), grey out the icons or something similar?

    • When I grapple NPCs I can see black patches flashing on the back of their head, shoulders, and back. Like they are rendering properly.
