Cyberpunk 2077 - Is Cyberpunk Edgerunners Canon

The Story and Events are Canon

Cyberpunk - Edgerunners gang

The events that happened in the Cyberpunk Edgerunners series are canon to the Cyberpunk 2077's plot. This was further proven during the Over the Edge side job that was added in the Patch 1.6 Edgerunners Update where familiar scenes and names popped up.

Over the Edge Summary

James Norris' braindance footage

Cyberpunk - James Norris braindance footage

The exact same braindance footage of James Norris demolishing an entire squad of NCPD badges is found near the Megabuilding H4 in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. The footage ends with a cryptic message about David Martinez and triggers the Over the Edge mission.

Falco's message

Cyberpunk - Reply to Falco

After finding the BD footage in the same mission, Falco, a member of David's group, will contact you and tell you a little more about David Martinez and what happened to the crew.

David's Jacket

Cyberpunk - David

Over the Edge will conclude with Falco telling you that he left something with El Capitan. You can then travel to the dam in Rancho Coronado to pick up David's Edgerunner Jacket.

The David Martinez Drink

Cyberpunk - The David Martinez

Even before the Edgerunners Update, players can visit the Afterlife, talk to Claire Russell at the bar to open up the menu, and see a drink named after the series' main character!

The other Edgerunners Items were added later pn in the 1.6 Patch!
