How to Unlock Gig: Going Up or Down?

Quest Unlock Conditions Go to Megabuilding H1, east of the Embers fast travel point. There will be an unknown quest marker there. Head there and wait for Padre Sebastian Ibarra to call to officially begin this gig.

Objective Icon.pngGo to El Gallo's workshop.
Follow the quest markers into the mall.

Objective Icon.pngLook for the scandium rods. Neutralize El Gallo (optional).
Once inside the workshop, you will see El Gallo wandering around. You have the option to take him out but it is not necessary.

Objective Icon.pngSteal the scandium rods. Go outside. Deposit scandium rods in the Drop Point.
Go inside the small room in the middle of the workshop to find the scandium rods and steal them. Head outside and deposit the rods in the nearest Drop Point to end the gig.

Gig: Going Up or Down? Choices and Best Choice

Sneak and Steal vs. Kill Gallo then Steal

Sneak and Steal You can use quickhacks on any of the devices around the workshop to distract Gallo. Once distracted, you can enter the central room where the rods are located and steal them without having to fight Gallo.
Kill Galo then Steal You can also use high powered grenades and rifles to take out Gallo to acquire some EXP.

Best Choice

Gallo is a powerful enemy and even at Level 30+, he can one or two-hit you to death. Given this, it is advised to distract Gallo and steal the rods for an easy mission completion.

Gig must be fixed! Completed it, knocked El Gallo out (without killing him) took the rods and got a little over 10k Eddies :-D
