Level I: The Triangle will have players challenge Alter Ego
, a variation of Lorelei that is available in the event. Use the team's optimal rotations by having Shorekeeper start first, followed by Yinlin and Xiangli Yao.
As Lorelei can interrupt your combos, utilize quick-swapping to avoid DPS loss and beat her quickly. Make sure to use your Assist Echoes whenever available to utilize their buffs and effects.

For this stage, the game will provide Phoebe, Rover (Spectro), and Verina. With this team in mind, we suggest going for Floating Balloon, Winking Doll, and Ominous Collection as their echoes. Of course, if you have a much stronger team, you may use them.
Verina enables quickswap between Phoebe and Spectro Rover, so whenever you see that your Spectro Frazzle stacks are depleted simply switch to Spectro Rover to reapply again then switch back to Phoebe immediately
The Dragon of Dirge will also start using meteors at the start of battle, which can whittle down your HP immediately. Be sure to stay on your guard, and evade them as the battle starts!

For this stage, the game will provide Camellya, Roccia, and Cantarella as trial characters. Camellya will be your primary DPS, with Roccia on Sub-DPS and Cantarella on Support. With this team in mind, we suggest going for Floating Balloon, Winking Doll, and Ominous Collection as their echoes. Of course, if you have a much stronger team, you may use them.
Fallacy of No Return will be super aggressive so do not be too comfortable and spam attacks. Be sure to avoid its attacks, which is quite easy to do since all of them have huge windup animations.

Level IV: Endless Dream provides players with Brant, Changli, and Sanhua as Trial Characters. Players will be fighting Sentry Construct, so expect to have combat in mid-air most of the time.
Maximize Changli and Brant's DPS potential by using a quick-swap playstyle. While a character is casting their skills, try to swap to a different Resonator as the skill will still continue to be casted.
Try to focus on having Sanhua buff Brant with Basic Attack DMG Deepen, followed by Brant's combos, and then swapping to Changli to get the Resonance Skill DMG and Fusion DMG buffs.

In the last regular level of the event, players will be getting Carlotta, Zhezhi, and Verina as the free Trial Characters. Using this team, players will be fighting Hecate, a mobile boss with a lot of AoE.
Utilize Carlotta and Zhezhi's kits well as they also have multiple mobility skills that help beat Hecate easily.
Start with Verina to provide team-wide buffs, followed by Zhezhi's optimal combos. Once her Concerto gauge is filled, swap to Carlotta to get a Resonance Skill DMG buff.
Once Carlotta is on-field, deal damage from afar to help counter Hecate's AoE and mobility. Cast her skills to keep up with Hecate and avoid damage. With Carlotta's damage together with Zhezhi and Verina's Coordinated Attacks, players will have an easier time with Hecate.

For the challenge mode of Day 1, we suggest going with the provided Trial Characters while maintaining the echo loadout in the normal stage equivalent. A Xiangli Yao team works best mostly because he mainly deals Resonance Liberation DMG, which maximizes for the Sonoro Sphere effects of this stage.
Do note that Lorelei will hit hard so make sure to evade all of its attacks at all costs. In addition, we also suggest using your own characters for this event if you have them, as it will significantly make things faster.

The Dragon of Dirge will also start using meteors at the start of battle, which can one shot any Resonators that are on the field. Be sure to stay defensive at the start and avoid these meteors at all costs. The fight will be much easier as you break the Dragon's vibration gauge which the Floating Balloon echo will help with. Be sure to use the echo at the start of Phoebe's rotations.

With this challenge mode, we suggest replacing Cantarella with a more dedicated healing Support like Verina or Shorekeeper to help with maintaining maximum health and reduce the overall damage taken as per the Sonoro Sphere Details.
Fallacy of No Return will be super aggressive so do not be too comfortable and spam attacks. Note that you need to maintain maximum health so you really need to avoid attacks to maximize the survivability.
Challenge IV: Nightmare Attack

For Challenge IV: Nightmare Attack, the available Trial Characters are Brant, Changli, and Sanhua. This team will have two main DPS units, with a sub-DPS in the third slot.
As Brant's kit provides sustain, his on-field time will heal and shield team members. That being said, having a dedicated healer like Shorekeeper or Verina together with Ominous Collection instead of Sanhua in the third slot will help tremendously to maintain health in combat.
We recommend having Floating Balloon, Door-smashing Axe, and Winking Doll as the assist echoes, respectively. This will help each Resonator maximize their individual DMG potential, while also helping other units in the team.
Sentry Construct will be tough to beat as it does a lot of AoE damage while in mid-air, while also being quite mobile. To counter this, try to have Brant and Changli up in the air most of the time. While this will leave you more vulnerable, it will also help generate Panic stacks on the boss.
Try to swap between the two with their Intro Skills to remain in the air, then maximize damage by casting their Forte Circuit skills once enemy is staggered and on the ground. Furthermore, generate shields and heal with Brant as much as possible as this boss is quite powerful.
Challenge V: Exorcism Ritual

Each stack increases the DMG dealt by 5% and decreases the DMG received by 5%, stacking up to 10 times, triggered once every second. Receiving Resonance Skill DMG removes a stack of Fear of Delirium from the enemy, triggered once every second. The Resonance DMG taken by the enemy is increased by 100% |

This stage will have Carlotta, Zhezhi, and Verina as Trial Characters, and players will be fighting Hecate. Equip them with Floating Balloon, Winking Doll, and Ominous Collection, respectively, for their assist Echoes to maximize their potential.
The Sonoro Sphere Details for Exorcism Ritual provides buffs to Resonance Skill DMG, making Carlotta the best ideal character in this challenge. Maximize Carlotta and Zhezhi's on-field times to rack up damage and avoid Hecate from stacking Fear of Delirium.
Start with Verina and go through her kit before swapping to Zhezhi, providing team-wide buffs in the process. When Zhezhi is up, build up her Liberation and Concerto energy as fast as possible. Avoid Hecate's attacks with her Resonance Skill. Once Carlotta's icon is glowing, switch to her.
During Carlotta's up-time, focus on dealing as much damage with her kit, as she mainly deals Resonance Skill DMG which works with the Sonoro Sphere Details. Lastly, maximize both her Resonance Skill and Liberation as damage and repositioning tools when fighting Hecate.
How to Play Abyss of Dreams
Assemble Your Team
Organize your best team and utilize the available Trial Resonators per stage under your discretion.
It is important to note that not every stage comes with buffs, so build your team composition while keeping the stage boss' inherent elemental resistance in mind.
Choose The Best Support Echo
Once you select your team for the event's challenge, you can choose “Dorothy's Companions” as Echoes that can help you in combat!
They have abilities that can greatly enhance your Resonators' abilities, which would make the experience smoother and easier!
Defeat Level Bosses Within the Time Limit
Each stage has an Overlord-class enemy that players need to beat within a certain time limit. The less time used, the higher points you get, so try to finish the stage quickly! Failure to do so within the timeframe will result in a failed stage.
Playable in Co-Op Multiplayer
This event has a co-op mode for all its levels. This means you can take down formidable bosses with your friends or other Rovers online!

Complete If You Gaze Into the Abyss of Dreams Side Quest
To unlock If You Gaze Into the Abyss of Dreams event, players must first finish its correspond quest. Players can fast travel to the area where Dorothy can be found, as well as the access point to the event gamemode.
Talk to Dorothy
Players must simply talk to Dorothy to unlock the event. She can be found in Whining Aix's Mire in Huanglong.
