Cicadas make a lot of noise when spawned, so be sure to turn up the volume of your Switch and ready your net! They can be found on tree trunks, so ready your nets once you hear them!
If all else fails, or if you don't want to run around near your trees, you can head to a Mysterious Island and use your net to catch some cicadas.

You never know when the bug you are searching for might just pop out in front of you on its own, so always keep your net equipped and at the ready!
Crickets can be hard to spot, so make sure to listen closely! Turn up the volume of your Switch and you can hear them chirping away.
Once you hear one, run up to the general direction of the noise until it gets louder and louder. Once you've spotted the source of the sound, be sure to approach slowly as these bugs can fly away if you approach them too quickly!
Once you're near the bug, press A to catch them!
