Occult Gems are a unique seasonal content available to Diablo 4(D4)'s Season 7. Read on to know about the Occult Gems in the Season of Witch Craft, all Occult Gem's effects and how to get Occult Gems!

Magic Occult Gems

Wicked Pact	Your Non-Unique Eldritch Powers gain 25% Potency
Heart of Anima	Your Non-Unique Psyche Witch Powers gain 25% Potency.
Toadling's Wish	Your Non-Unique Growth & Decay Witch Powers gain 35% Potency.
Phantom String	You deal 15% increased Overpower damage to Hexed enemies.
Elder Sigil	Your Agility, Corpse, Incarnate, Mastery, Weapon Mastery, and Wrath Skills deal 25% increased direct damage to Hexed enemies. This Skill now has a Potency skill tag instead of Potency
Vulture Talon	While you have an Aura active, you deal Damage Over Time 50% faster.
Pointed Finger	Your Summons deal 15% increased direct damage to Hexed Elites.

Rare Occult Gems

Gem	Effects
Killing Wind	While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, gain 25% Movement Speed and 15% Critical Strike Chance.
Raging Enigma	Your Unique Witch Powers deal 40% increased damage.
Spiral Coin	While you have three or more Psyche Witch Powers slotted, gain 60% Control Duration and 20% Lucky Hit Chance.
Cornucopia	While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, gain 25% Movement Speed and 15% Critical Strike Chance.
Vile Phylactery	While you have a Witch Power with the Summon tag slotted, if you would take fatal damage, instead prevent that damage. Then, gain a Barrier equal to 100% of your Maximum Life and disable your Witch Powers with the Summon tag for 6 seconds. This can only occur once every 75 seconds.
Hungering Void	While you have an Aura active, pull Nearby enemies toward you every 8 seconds.

Legendary Occult Gems

Gem	Effects
Witching Hour	While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, every 5 seconds, the next Core Skill you cast gains the Eldritch tag.
Voice of the Stars	While you have an Aura active, your Ultimate Skills gain each Witchcraft tag and deal 10% increased damage.
Mind Wreath	While you have three or more Psyche Witch Powers slotted, the Cooldowns of your Defensive, Macabre, and Trap Skills are reduced by 20%.
Friend of the Bog	While you have three or more Growth & Decay Witch Powers slotted, you gain 8% Primary Stat, 10% Maximum Life, and are always Unhindered.
Moonlight Ward	For each Rank in your slotted Unique Witch Power, you gain 3% Damage Reduction and 0.5% Maximum Resistance to All Elements.
Dust Stone	For each of your Auras and Hexes an enemy is afflicted by, they take 2.5% increased damage from you.

Additional Occult Gem Effects

Grants Armor Bonuses and Resistances

Aside from their main effects, all Occult Gems grants a bonus of 160 Armor and +8% resistance to all elements which makes them a much more superior gem to use than other gems.

Can Only be Socketed to Jewelries

Occult Gems have stronger defensive stats than their regular gem counterparts. However, these gems can only be socketed to jewelries. This means that you'll still need to craft other gems to supplement your armour and weapon sockets with standard gems.

You Can't Equip Two Occult Gems of the Same Name

It won't be possible to stack up an Occult Gem's effect as you can only equip 1 unique copy of an Occult Gem to your character at all times. This is to avoid stat stacking and to incentivize players to play around with multiple Occult Gems and mix up their effects.

All Magic and Rare Occult Gems have a universal crafting cost as listed in the table above. If you're aiming to craft a specific Magic or Rare gems, aim to farm the needed materials to get your needed gem.

Unlike Magic and Rare Occult Gems, Legendary gems require 2 specific magic occult gems and 1 rare occult gem as materials to craft them. The full list of each Legendary Occult gem crafting cost will be added at a later date so stay tuned for more updates!

How to Craft Occult Gems

Craft With Gelena at the Tree of Whispers

Unlike standard Gems, the Occult Gems can only be crafted by Gelena which can be found at the Tree of Whispers. You'll also need to spend the necessary crafting materials needed for the gem you'll need.

Complete Headhunts to Farm Fugitive Heads

Fugitive Heads are the primary crafting material you'll need to get to craft Occult Gems. Headhunts are done via the Tree of Whisper missions so be sure to visit the Tree of Whispers during the Season of the Witch!

How to Complete the Tree of Whispers

Trade Fugitive Heads for Restless Rots

Fugitive Heads are also exchanged for Rotting Caches from Gelena as well to obtain Restless Rot which are the secondary material for the Occult Gems.

How to Get Gem Fragments

Gem Fragments can be obtained by defeating Elites, opening Chests in the overworld or dungeons, or by opening the Reward Caches from completing Whispers of the Dead.

One of the efficient way to farm Gem Fragments is by participating in Infernal Hordes and spending your Burning Aether on Spoils of Material chests at the end of the dungeon.
