Diablo 4 - The Gauntlet Guide

The Gauntlet is a new endgame dungeon set to release in the middle of Diablo 4 (D4) Season 3. High scoring runs will be recorded for the upcoming Leaderboard system and rewards given to the top players. Read on to learn more about the Gauntlet and how to access it!

What is the Gauntlet?

Weekly Dungeon that Determines Leaderboard Rankings

D4 - Season 3 The Gauntlet Reveal

The Gauntlet is a brand new feature that has shipped during mid-season 3. The Gauntlet is a non-linear dungeon that has no end and it will test your build's capability to tackle an endless dungeon with stronger enemies.

The dungeon is also a fixed dungeon which means that all players will experience the same dungeon layout when trying to compete for a high score.

Dungeon Layout Changes Every Week

The Gauntlet will change its layout every week, giving players enough time to attempt an optimized run in the hopes of getting the highest score for that particular week.

The Gauntlet is vastly different from the dungeons found in Diablo 4. In the Gauntlet, anything goes, as seen during the January 2024 Developer Update that showcased the first Gauntlet room immediately having a boss monster instead of regular demon fodder.

Can be Played with a Party

Since Leaderboards are split into Solo, Duo, Trio, and Full Party categories, it is entirely possible to run the Gauntlet with a party. Just remember to fully optimize your builds before attempting a run given that the Gauntlet was designed to be run by level 100s.

How to Access the Gauntlet

Reach World Tier 4

Diablo 4 - World Tier 4 Torment Overview

Unlike the Abattoir of Zir back in Season 2, the Gauntlet will not be gated by a level requirement. You also need to reach World Tier 4 to be able to access the content.

How to Change World Tier Difficulty

Access the Gauntlet in Gea Kul

To access the Leaderboard, you have to head to Geakul and interact with the Horn of Trial which is located at the Southwest part of the town in the edge of the city port.

Level 100 is Recommended to Compete

Diablo 4 - Gauntlet Average Enemy Level

It is highly recommended that you reach Level 100 before attempting a run. Enemies in the gauntlet will all be at Level 125 and have stronger stats than regular enemies of the same level. Being at full power is recommended before starting the Gauntlet and being level 100 should be your first step to tackling the leaderboard.
