Progress Through the Seasonal Questline

The first thing you'd want to do to start checking off chapter objectives is to start progressing through the new seasonal questline. This is a great starting goal since you'll be able to complete numerous challenges that tie in with the quest objectives while leveling up.

Season 5 Questline Walkthrough

Don't Ignore Gathering Nodes

While completing the new seasonal questline, do not ignore the Mineral and Harvest nodes. Not only will these allow you to complete certain objectives for the 1st chapter of the Season Journey, you can also use it to upgrade your potion and upgrade your gear on the later days of the season.

How to Upgrade the Healing Potion

Complete 9 Out of 11 Objectives

For the first chapter, you only need to complete 9 out of the 11 objectives in order to claim the journey rewards.

Since this is the easiest chapter, you can aim to finish whichever objective you desire since you'll most likely finish them as you progress through the Season 5 Questline.

Complete Dungeons

There are several objectives that you can complete by doing dungeon runs in the 2nd chapter of the Season Journey. This will also set your character up for the later stages of the game by unlocking aspects that you can use for your builds later.

Explore the Overworld and Complete Objectives

There are several objectives in the overworld that you can complete that can progress your 2nd chapter of the Season Journey. This includes clearing Strongholds, World Events, and Hellbreaches.

Complete 8 Out of 10 Objectives

For the second chapter, you only need to complete 8 out of 10 objectives to claim the journey rewards. By doing the two activies we recommend (doing dungeons and overworld activities), you should be able to complete the entire chapter 2 of the season journey.

Complete Dungeons

Similar to the 2nd Chapter of the Season Journey, we highly recommend continuing your dungeon progression in the 3rd chapter of the Season Journey. This will allow you to quickly build up your Mother's Gift Reputation, Obtain Aspects, Level Up, and actually clear more Dungeons.

Participate in Helltide

Instead of doing several world activities, we highly recommend focusing on Helltides during the 3rd chapter of the Season Journey. This will allow you to progress your levels quickly, build up your Mother's Gift Reputation, clear objectives for the Tree of Whispers, and open Tortured Gifts!

Complete 9 Out of 11 Objectives

For the third chapter, you only need to complete 9 out of 11 objectives to claim the journey rewards. Stick to progressing your game naturally via Helltides and dungeon clearing to progress the Season Journey while also strengthening your characters.

Be sure to not neglect your gear and temper them if you find a gear with good affixes as this will allow you to progress the game more efficiently.

Chapter 4 Guide

Chapter 4 Objectives

Increase Mother's Gift Reputation to Rank 7 Equip Sacred Legendary Items in Every Slot Obtain 20 Caches from the Tree of Whispers Use 5 Nightmare Sigils and Complete the Empowered Dungeons Unlock 25 Aspects in the Codex of Power Defeat 10 Aether Fiends Obtain 5 Infernal Compasses Enhance 1 Infernal Compass with Abyssal Scrolls Defeat 1 Fell Council in the Infernal Hordes Defeat Echo of Varshan Defeat 666 Monsters while at Max Threat Level during Helltides

Reach World Tier 3

The majority of Chapter 4's objectives require you to reach World Tier 3. Sacred Gears as well as the Infernal Hordes are only accessible during this World Tier so be sure to complete your first capstone dungeon asap and raise your world tier to start progressing Chapter 4.

Start Gearing for Endgame

Chapter 4 is a good checkpoint to consider finalizing your build and preparing it for the game's endgame content. Plan out how you will start building your character and equip Sacred Gear with the right affixes and aspects to efficiently progress the game.

Participate in Infernal Hordes

Infernal Compasses, Abyssal Scrolls, and Fell Council are all features that can only be accessed by doing the new Infernal Horde feature that is added to season 5. Once you gain access to the feature, complete the necessary objectives to further progress your Season Journey!

Complete 9 out of 11 Objectives

For the fourth chapter, you'll only need to complete 9 out of the 11 objectives to claim the journey rewards. Reaching World Tier 3 and doing the new Infernal Horde event will allow you to clear the majority of objectives for Chapter 4.

Once you have completed the Infernal Horde objectives, proceed to choose which one among the remaining objectives would prove beneficial for your character's leveling progress and complete them to move to the next Season Journey chapter.

Slayer Chapter Guide

Increase Mother's Gift Reputation to Rank 12 Equip Ancestral Legendary Items in every slot Defeat 20 Helltide Commanders from Helltide Events Complete 1 Tier 21 Nightmare Dungeon Reach Level 75 Unlock 50 Aspects in the Codex of Power Defeat 30 Aether Fiends, Aether Lords, and Infernal Demons Collect 666 Burning Aether Defeat 1 Fell Council in the Infernal Hordes Tier 2 Defeat 100 Champion Monsters in Torment IV

Complete Infernal Horde Runs

At this stage of the game, completing Infernal Horde Tier 1 (and even 2 if you reach Torment) will be the most lucrative and most efficient way to farm up gear, gold, and Mother's Gift Reputation.

Running Infernal Hordes should eliminate several objectives such as Getting Ancestral Gear, Mother's Gift Reputation, Leveling Up, Aspects, Burning Aether, The Fell Council, and 30 Aether-Type Enemies.

Complete Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides In Between

Participating in World Tier IV Helltides and doing World Tier 4 Nightmare dungeons will allow you to complete the rest of the objectives while also giving you more resources to strengthen your character. These methods also allow you to get new Infernal Compasses to run more Infernal Hordes again!

Complete 8 out of 10 Objectives

For the Slayer (fifth) chapter, you'll need to complete 8 out of the 10 objectives to claim the journey rewards. Reaching World Tier 4 while doing the Infernal Horde feature and doing side activites on the side will allow you to complete this Chapter with ease while setting you up for the next chapter.

Champion Chapter Guide

Increase Mother's Gift Reputation to Rank 17 Defeat Lord Zir Defeat Beast in the Ice Obtain 6,666 Cinders during Helltide Defeat 10 Ladder Bosses Complete a Tier 30 Nightmare Dungeons Defeat 1 Fell Council in Infernal Hordes Tier 3 Complete Artificer's Tier 1 or higher in The Pit Temper 20 Affixes onto Ancestral Gear Destroy 25 Aetheric Mass in Torment IV

Defeat Uber Bosses

Lord Zir and Beast in the Ice are some of the easier Uber Bosses to defeat. While they may not reward the player with Mythic Uniques, they are still a good source of Unique items which may shape up and complete the build you are using for Season 5!

Temper Gear Then Progress the Pit

Proceed to Temper the new Ancestral Gear you obtain in World Tier IV and start Progressing The Pit. This will give you materials for Masterworking the best Gear you can find as well start setting up your build for the most difficult content later on.

Complete 8 out of 10 Objectives

For the Champion (sixth) chapter, you'll need to complete 8 out of the 10 objectives to claim the journey rewards. Reaching World Tier 4 and doing the endgame activities such as Uber Bosses, High Tier Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Infernal Hordes will complete the majority of this Chapter's conditions.

Complete Infernal Hordes

Infernal Hordes will allow you to complete several objectives for the last chapter. While this may not be enough to complete the rest of the objectives, it will still give you several resources and even gear with Greater Affixes and prepare you for the rest of the objectives.

Slowly Work Towards World Bosses, Glyphs and Masterworking

These are the objectives that will take a long time to complete in this chapter (especially if you haven't been doing these activities for the last few chapters). We highly recommend continuing with Pit Runs, Nightmare Dungeons, and doing World Bosses in between your routine activity while in this chapter.

Upgrade an Infernal Compass to Tier 8

You don't necessarily need to use the Compass. Upgrading one compass to Tier 8 will complete one objective which is a nice bonus. You can also dismantle the Compass for materials later or save it up and use it later once you become confident in your build.

Complete 9 Out of 11 Objectives

For the last Chapter, you'll need to complete 9 out of the presented 11 objectives. With the routines we setup above, you'll be able to complete 8 objectives with time. For the last objective, you'll have to complete one of the remaining activities which are Tormented Andariel, Tormented Duriel and aTier 6 Fell Council which are all difficult tasks.

We highly recommend aiming for a Tier 6 clear as this is the easiest objective among all of them but this is entirely dependent on the player.

How to Claim Season 5 Rewards

Complete a Number of Objectives Within a Chapter

To claim Seasonal Journey Rewards, you must complete a specific number of objectives per chapter. Players are not required to finish all the objectives in each chapter, so you can handpick tasks that you would like to accomplish.

After completing enough objectives, you may claim your rewards through the Season Journey Menu under the Season Tab.
