Item durability is a stat on most equipment that determines if it is broken or not. Items have a durability of 100 and every time you die, they lose 10 durability. The game will warn you if your durability is dangerously low so you can repair your gear before diving into combat.

Equipment such as Amulets and Rings do not have durability and thus cannot be broken. You do not need to worry about losing the passive effects from your accessories if you have died several times.
