You will get the Whispers of the Dead priority quest after finishing the Main Story. Speak to Lorath in order to start the quest to unlock the Whispers of the Dead Events.
Finish Main Campaign
The Whispers of the Dead priority quest will only appear in your Journal after the credits roll. Finish the main quests to unlock this end-game specific content!
Whispers of the Dead Walkthrough

| 1 | Speak with the Lorath in Hawezar After completing the main story, talk to Lorath in Hawezar to begin the quest towards unlocking the Whispers of the Dead Events. |
| 2 |  Speak with the Tree of Whispers Head to the Writhing Mire to talk to the Tree of Whispers. |
| 3 |  Collect 10 Grim Favors After talking to the Tree of Whispers, several Whispers of the Dead events will be triggered across your map. Finish these and obtain 10 Grim Favors to progress the quest. ▶︎How to Complete the Tree of Whispers |
| 4 |  Offer your Grim Favors to the Tree of Whispers Return to the Tree of Whispers to offer the Grim Favors and receive an equipment cache of your choice! |
Whispers of the Dead Rewards
Whispers of the Dead Events
Whispers of the Dead Events are harder, end-game challenges that will reward players with Grim Favors. These events are scattered throughout the map, and has a set time before disappearing.
How to Complete the Tree of Whispers
Grim Favors
Grim Favors are the main rewards for completing Whispers of the Dead Events. Simpler challenges will grant 1 Grim Favor, but harder Whispers of the Dead Dungeons can reward players with 5 Grim Favors at a time.
Exchange Grim Favors for Equipment Caches
Once you have 10 Grim Favors, you can offer these to the Tree of Whispers in the Writhing Mire in exchange for an equipment Cache of your choice. This can prove to be very useful, especially when farming for specific gear.
