This is guide to the stats you can encounter in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to see a list of all stats, what effects each stat has on gameplay, how to view your stats in-game, and how you can increase your stats.

Core Offensive Defensive Utility PVP

Core

Stat Description
Level ・The Level of your Character, which is increased by accumulating Experience.
・With each Level, you gain Base Life and Core Stats.
・Each Level until Level 50 grants a Skill Point. Afterwards, each quarter of a Level grants a Paragon Point.
・Damage dealt between you and an enemy are adjusted according to the Level difference.
・Monsters at this Level have X% visible damage reduction.
Strength ・Increases your Skill Damage and Armor.
Intelligence ・Increases your Resistance to All Elements.
Willpower ・Increases your Resource Generation and Overpower Damage.
・Improves Healing Received.
Dexterity ・Increases your Critical Strike Chance and Dodge Chance.

Offensive

Stat Description
Weapon Damage ・The base damage of a Weapon.
・Skills wielding these weapons scale their base damage using this value.
・Equal to the sum of the weapons' base attack values.
Weapon Speed ・This is the base Attack Speed inherent to your weapon before applying bonuses.
・When wielding One-Handed weapons, their weapon speeds are averaged.
Attack Speed ・Based on the weapon's attacks per second.
Critical Strike Chance ・When a Skill deals damage, it has a chance to Critically Strike.
・Critical Strikes deal bonus damage.
・Damage over time cannot Critically Strike.
・Appears as Yellow damage numbers.
Critical Strike Damage ・Extra damage granted to Skills when they Critically Strike.
・Has a base value of 50.0%
・Capped at 100% against other Players.
Overpower Chance ・When you cast a Skill, it has a chance to Overpower all of the damage it deals.
・Overpowers deal bonus damage based on the sum of your current Life and Fortify.
・Appears as Light Blue damage numbers. Critical Overpower hits appear as Dark Orange numbers.
Overpower Damage ・Extra damage granted to Skills when they Overpower.
・Stacks with the bonus damage inherently granted to Overpowers based on your current life and Fortify.
・Has a base value of 50.0% and is capped at 150% against other Players.
・DoTs, Passives, and Channeled abilities cannot Overpower.
Vulnerable Damage ・Extra damage granted against Vulnerable enemies.
・Has a base value of 20.0%
Damage vs Crowd Controlled ・Increased damage dealt to Crowd Controlled enemies.
・This includes those affected by Slow, Immobilize, Stun, Knockback, Knockdown, Taunt, Fear, Tether, Daze, Chill, or Freeze.
・After fully Staggering a Boss, they are considered affected by all Crowd Control types for the Staggered duration.
Damage vs Slowed ・Increased damage dealt to Slowed enemies.
・After fully Staggering a Boss, they are considered affected by all Crowd Control types, including Slow, for the Staggered duration.
Damage vs Close ・Increases damage dealt to enemies in melee range.
Damage with Basic ・Increases damage dealt by your Skills that have the Basic tag.
Damage with Core ・Increases damage dealt by your Skills that have the Core tag.
Lucky Hit Execute ・You have a base 4.0% chance to instantly kill enemies who are below 35% Life when you damage them.
・This probability scales with the Skill used and your Lucky Hit Chance Bonus.
・Cannot activate against Champions, Elites, Bosses, or Players.
Thorns ・Deals damage to attackers when hit by direct attacks not including attacks that are entirely damage over time.
・Damage dealt is affected by the Skill damage increase from your Strength.

Defensive

Stat Description
Maximum Life ・If you lose all your Life, you die.
・You can check your life by monitoring the red ball on the left-hand side of your hud.
Potion Charges ・The total number of Potion Charges you can have available at a time.
・This stat includes the base 4 Potion Charges you start with and any additional Charges from Zone Progress and items.
Life On Kill ・The amount of Life you recover for every enemy you kill.
Life Regeneration ・Life you recover per second.
・Taking damage disables this for 4 seconds.
Armor ・Reduces incoming Physical damage taken. This applies to both direct and Physical damage and Bleeding damage over time.
・Non-Physical damage taken is partially reduced according to your Armor Contribution.
Armor Contribution ・The percentage that Armor contributes to your base damage reduction against non-Physical attacks.
・The remaining damage reduction is determined by your appropriate Elemental resistances.
・Differs in PvP.
Dodge Chance ・When you would receive direct damage, you have a chance to Dodge it.
・Dodged attacks deal no damage.
・As this stat increases, additional bonuses become less effective.
X Resistance ・Reduces incoming damage from a certain damage type.
・Makes up 50% of your initial damage reduction from said damage with the remainder contributed by Armor.
・As this stat increases, additional bonuses become less effective.

Utility

Stat Description
Maximum Fury ・Used to cast various Skills.
Fury Regeneration ・Indicates how much Fury you regenerate per second.
・Fury decays rapidly while out of combat.
Movement Speed ・Indicates the Movement Speed of your character in the game as you run.
・You may have a maximum of 125.0% Movement Speed as a basic stat.
・Temporary buffs may exceed this limit.
・Characters cannot exceed 200% Movement Speed.
Cooldown Reduction ・Reduces the Cooldowns of all active Skills.
Lucky Hit Chance Bonus ・Increases the chance of triggering Lucky Hits with your Skills.

PVP

Stat Description
Damage Reduction ・Inherent damage reduction granted against other Players in PvP.
・Stacks with all other sources of Damage Reduction.
Armor Contribution ・Shows the percentage your Armor contributes in reducing base damage against non-Physical attacks in PvP.
・The remaining damage reduction is determined by your appropriate Elemental resistance.

From the Materials & Stats screen, select on the eye symbol to switch to your stats.

How to Increase Stats

Diablo 4 - Level Up Your Character

A consistent method of increasing your stats is to constantly level up your character. There are a few methods you can use to quickly level up such as entering dungeons and defeating all the enemies inside or simply playing in a party to recieve a bonus of 10% EXP.

Diablo 4 - Equip Items

As you defeat enemies or loot areas, you will find all types of Items to equip. You can check your Inventory to switch out items and apply specific stats depending on your character or build.

Diablo 4 - Altars of Lilith Give Stat Boost

Altars of Lilith are statues scattered across the game which give permanent stat boosts to your character simply by interacting with them. While finding these statues can take some time, unlocking them as you find them can definitely help in increasing your stats.
