While Diablo 4 (D4) does not currently have a loot filter, it may arrive as a quality-of-life update in future Seasons. Read on to learn more about the status of loot filters in-game.
List of Contents
As of writing, there is currently no loot filter in Diablo 4. Items of all rarities will show up on the ground when dropped by killed enemies, and players have to manually pick up higher-rarity drops to avoid low-rarity items.
During the May 10 Developer Update Livestream, the developers mentioned that they're committed to delivering quality-of-life updates based on community feedback and that these updates may arrive in Seasons.
Given this, we may receive a loot filter feature for Diablo 4 when Season 1 releases in mid to late July.
While loot filters are not yet in the game, it is possible for players to only hear high-rarity item loot drops by adjusting the In-game Loot Sounds settings in the Options menu. Players can set the Minimum Quality required for item drop sounds to trigger, which can act as a pseudo-loot filter.
