Pets in Diablo 4 pick up gold and materials and are unlocked by completing the Faithful Companion quest in Kyovashad. Check out how to unlock all available and seasonal pets here, a list of all the pets, and how to equip pets here.

Complete the Faithful Companion Quest in Kyovashad

Asheara, the first pet you can unlock, is obtained by completing the Faithful Companion quest in Kyovashad.

From Kyovashad's waypoint, head northwest until you see the Well Behaved Dog to the side of the road. Interact with the dog and select the "Who's a good dog?" option. This completes the quest and unlocks Aheara as a pet.

Pets can be equipped, unequipped, or changed in the Wardrobe. Selecting the Unequip pet option turns off the distant auto-loot function.
