How to Unlock Barbarian: Masters of Battle

Reach Level 15 on any Barbarian character and head to Ked Bardu to receive this quest from Forgemaster Kerdi.

Barbarian: Masters of Battle Walkthrough
| 1 |  Find Katra Head north to the blue area marked in the Wayward Plains on your map. |
|---|---|
| 2 |  Speak with Katra Talk to Oxen Clan Scout Katra, who's standing on a ridge in the middle of the marked area. Tell her you wish to join the Oxen Tribe. |
| 3 |  Travel to the hunting ground Head north again to the new, larger blue area marked on your map. |
| 4 | Slay 30 bandits and 20 wildlife Within the blue area, defeat the bandit and wildlife enemy types. These are the Hornets, Bloodhawks, Arsonists, and Slicers you'll find in the area. They will be marked as red dots on your minimap. |
| 5 |  Go to the cave entrance Head to the cave entrance in the west side of the Wayward Plains. |
| 6 | Speak with Katra Talk to Katra at the cave entrance and ask, "What is in this cave?" |
| 7 | Enter the Charnel Cave |
| 8 |  Defeat Beast of the Steppes Slay the Beast of the Steppes inside the cave. It has the ability to create shadow versions of itself, but you just need to focus on defeating the real version. |
| 9 |  Speak with Katra Head back to the entrance of the cave and deliver the beast's head to Katra. |
| 10 |  Return to the Forgemaster Head back to Ked Bardu (fast travel is recommended) and speak to Gerti to end the quest. |
Barbarian: Masters of Battle Quest Reward
Weapon Technique
You obtain the Weapon Technique Barbarian class feature when you complete the Masters of Battle quest. It allows you to choose a Weapon Expertise Effect that will be applied to all of your Barbarian's attacks, regardless if that weapon is equipped or not.

Class Quest Completion for Future Characters
Completing this quest will automatically unlock the Barbarian's Weapon Technique class mechanic for future Barbarian characters.
This quality of life change is part of the Season 7 update, where class quest completion is account-wide and will carry over to later seasons.
