Defeat Vhenard's Hell Spawns

This boss encounter is a bit unique since Vhenard starts with really low HP with a protective shield, and you will not be fighting Vhenard herself, but her summons instead.

Vhenard will summon Hell Spawns and they increase in number for every phase in the fight. Killing the Hell Spawns reduces Vhenard's shield bar at the top of your screen, and is the only way to win this boss fight.

Avoid Projectiles

On top of the Hell Spawns' ranged attacks, Vhenard herself will launch spinning beams at you that inflict the Vulnerable crowd control effect. Try your best to dodge them or else you will find yourself chugging down your Healing Potions.

Later on in the fight, more projectiles will be thrown at you so melee classes like the Barbarian and Druid may find this battle particularly difficult and it may take a few attempts.

What is Crowd Control?

Stay in the Middle of the Area

To make the boss fight even more challenging, you will be attacked by a stream of blood. Try to stay in the middle to allow yourself some maneuverability, and avoid chasing Hell Spawns that veer off to the sides.

Dispatch the Other Summons If Possible

In the succeeding phases of the encounter, Vhenard will summon Ruinmaws and in the final phase a Pit Lord. Use AoE attacks on the Ruinmaws to take care of them quickly. If you can, quickly burst down the Pit Lord to have one less thing to worry about. However, if you lack the damage to do so, focus on the Hell Spawns instead because more summons will appear if you prolong the fight.
