The Vessel of Hatred expansion has been released as of October 8, 2024. This will be the game's first expansion, offering new quests, enemies, areas, and activities.
Social manager Adam Fletcher has confirmed that the game is now live! Steam players should be able to get into the game right away, while Battle.net players will need to install a large update first.
On Battle.net, players can now download a new update sized at at least 25GB, though some players have reported much larger sizes. Be sure to start downloading now so you can get into the game quickly, but note that many players are currently experiencing slow download speed, so the download may take longer than expected.

Players who purchased Vessel of Hatred on Battle.net and consoles are able to pre-load the expansion on the dates listed above.
Steam users can now preload 2.0.2 the Vessel of Hatred content while the game has its ongoing maintenance delay for Season 6 update.
Battle.net users that have downloaded the pre-release content have already downloaded the game's patch 2.0.2 content. Despite the client saying version 1.5.2.57673, the current version simply lists the game's existing season 5 update.
Once the season 6 content goes live, however, players from the Battle.net client will need to update more sizable content as per PezRadar's announcement on the Diablo forums.
The Vessel of Hatred expansion will release on October 8, 2024, as revealed in an announcement trailer.
The trailer shows a sneak peek of the new Spiritborn class, pets, and other pre-purchase bonuses.
