Diablo 4 (D4) has an instant dungeon reset feature that lets people repeatedly farm dungeons for XP and unique items. Learn how to reset dungeons while playing Solo or in a Party, the benefits of doing so, and how nightmare dungeon progress is affected!

Leave the Dungeon

Diablo 4 Dungeon Reset - Leave the Dungeon

First, you need to leave the dungeon that you are currently in because you can only reset dungeons while you are in the overworld. Here are the quickest ways to do this:

  • Open your action wheel and select Leave Dungeon.
  • Open your map and click the dungeon's entrance icon.

Party Must Leave the Dungeon

Everyone in the party is required to leave the dungeon for the party leader to reset it. Please note that only the party leader is able to click the Reset Dungeon button.

Open the Journal on Your Map

Open your Map and then click on the arrow on the right side of the screen to access your Journal. The Journal contains all the quests you currently have, organized by region. At the bottom of this journal, click the Reset Dungeon button.

After clicking the Reset Dungeon button at the bottom of your Journal, all normal dungeons you have progressed will be instantly reset.

Everyone in the Party Needs to Accept

All party members will receive a prompt to Accept or Decline the dungeon reset. Each member must Accept this message for the dungeon to reset successfully.

Nightmare Dungeon Reset

If you click on the Reset Dungeon button while you have an active Nightmare Dungeon, it will disappear, and you will need to use another sigil to activate it again.
