Tormented Bosses, once the more challenging versions of standard bosses, are now the default in Diablo 4 (D4). Learn how to summon the Tormented Bosses and the materials needed to do so here.

How to Summon Tormented Uber Bosses
Cannot Be Summoned as of Season 8
As of Season 8 and a rework of the way you battle the newly called Lair Bosses, you can no longer summon Tormented versions of bosses. Lair Bosses can now be fought without spending summoning materials but they will summon a cache after their defeat which requires lair boss materials to open.
Stygian Stones Reworked to be a Convertible Summoning Material
Stygian Stones that were previously required for summoning Tormented bosses have been reworked. Stygian Stones are now items that can be converted into one of the three lair boss key, namely Pincushioned Doll, Shard of Agony, and Abhorrent Heart.
