Completed Activities After Skipping the Campaign |

|
When choosing to skip the campaign in character creation, you immediately skip all main story quests, giving you the freedom to roam around and farm as you please in the early game.
Note that skipping the main story is permanent, so you won't be able to start any campaign quests or receive their rewards after making your character.
Campaign Walkthrough and List of Main Quests
Skipping the campaign also gives you immediate access to the waypoints of each major city in all five regions of the game, meaning you don't have to look for them or their waypoints with a fresh character.
In particular, you gain access to the Kyovashad (Fractured Peaks), Cerrigar (Scosglen), Ked Bardu (Dry Steppes), Zarbinzet (Hawezar), and Gea Kul (Kehjistan) waypoints. Having early access to these waypoints makes it easier to discover the map, as you have quick access to a central hub connected to most areas of each region.
Waypoint Map and All Locations
The Tree of Whispers is also immediately unlocked when choosing to skip the campaign, meaning you don't need to complete its Priority Quest. Having access to Whispers of the Dead bounties early also makes leveling to 50 much easier due to the Experience and Grand Caches they provide.
How to Complete the Tree of Whispers
You retain all Legendary Aspects in your Codex of Power when skipping the campaign, removing the need to clear old Dungeons and obtain Aspects you've already received. With this in mind, consider using your main character to complete Dungeons with Aspects for your secondary character to speed up their grind.
When playing with a Seasonal Character, you'll be able to skip straight to the Season Questline if you choose to skip the Campaign, making it the best option for most players who want to play a Season primarily to enjoy its new Seasonal content.
Should You Skip Campaign for Season 1?
It's worth skipping the main story if you don't want to play through every act in the game for a second time. While not having campaign quests means you lose out on a source of early Experience, Gold, and gear, it's mostly replaced by gaining early access to the Tree of Whispers, which provides plenty of repeatable content and upgrades while you level to 50.
Playing through the campaign a second time still has its merits, as it provides new characters with level-scaled quests and loot, like Vigo's Protecting Amulet from Act 1. Campaign Quests also act as a rough guide for when you can start moving on to different regions without feeling underpowered.
