Best Witchcraft Powers

Piranhado

Witchcraft Power Effect
Piranhado Icon Piranhado When an enemy is afflicted by both a Hex and an Aura Effect, a Piranhado is summoned pulling enemies towards it and dealing X Physical damage over 12 seconds. May occur once every 20 seconds.
Rank 5: Piranhado moves itself towards nearby enemies.

Piranhado is the highest damage-dealing Unique Witchcraft Power. Triggered by inflicting an enemy with both a Hex and an Aura Witchcraft Power, this power leaves behind an area that deals a lot of damage over time that also seeks out enemies at max rank. This power can only be obtained from Forgotten Altars.

Where to Find Forgotten Altars

Doom Orb

Witchcraft Power Effect
Doom Orb Icon Doom Orb An ominous orb of pure Eldritch energy circles you, damaging any enemy it touches for 400% Fire damage. Doom Orb may launch itself at distant enemies before returning.
Rank 5: Kills or damage to Bosses empower the orb’s damage by 5%. After 100%, the orb explodes dealing 5,200 damage to nearby enemies before reforming 3 seconds later.

Doom Orb is also an exceptional offensive Unique Witchcraft Power with no triggers or cooldowns, dealing constant damage to nearby enemies. Its base damage increases with rank, with an additional damage buff at max rank. Pairing it with the Shaken Soul makes it a consistent source of inflicting the Vulnerable debuff to enemies.

Breath of the Coven

Witchcraft Power Effect
Breath of the Coven Icon Breath of the Coven Dealing damage or applying a Crowd Control effect with any of your Witchcraft Effects increases your Attack Speed by X for 10 Seconds, stacking once per unique Witchcraft Effect. Witchcraft Effects are Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay.
Rank 8: Gain 40% Lucky Hit chance while bonuses from Eldritch, Psyche, Growth & Decay are active at once.

Breath of the Coven provides a massive Attack Speed bonus by using multiple Witchcraft Power types. Each type (Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay) that inflicts damage or Crowd Control grants a stacking Attack Speed buff, up to three stacks. This power is also exclusive to Forgotten Altars.

Where to Find Forgotten Altars

Twilight Warding

Witchcraft Power Effect
Twilight Warding Icon Twilight Warding Every X seconds, gain a Barrier for 5 seconds absorbing 100 damage.
Rank 12: Twilight Warding reflects enemy projectiles while active.

Twilight Warding is a reliable choice for most builds, offering a constant Barrier that greatly enhances survivability. Additionally, it synergizes well with effects like the Conceited Aspect, which grants up to 30% increased damage when a Barrier is active.

What is Barrier and Barrier Generation?

Soul Harvest

Witchcraft Power Effect
Soul Harvest Icon Soul Harvest Feed upon the life force of nearby enemies whenever you use a skill with a cooldown, increasing your primary stat by 3% per monster for X seconds.
Rank 9: Soul Harvest does not lose duration so long as enemies are nearby.

Soul Harvest temporarily boosts your Primary Core Stat, significantly increasing damage. It’s especially effective for builds that can rapidly refresh skill cooldowns.

Shaken Soul

Witchcraft Power Effect
Shaken Soul Icon Shaken Soul Eldritch Effects apply Vulnerable to enemies for X seconds.
Rank 10: Damage from Psyche and Growth & Decay Effects will also apply Vulnerable at half the duration.

Shaken Soul provides a consistent way to apply Vulnerable, a critical debuff for maximizing damage output. By pairing it with another Eldritch power, you can free up Skill Points, a Glyph Socket, or gear Affixes that would otherwise be dedicated to inflicting Vulnerable.
