Transfer to World Tier 3 First

To unlock The Helltide Rises quest, you first need to switch to World Tier 3. To do this, you must first complete the Capstone Dungeon Cathedral of Light on Veteran Difficulty.

Can be Done Before Reaching Level 50

Since the unlock requirement of the quest is solely completing Cathedral of Light on World Tier 2 Difficulty, you can unlock this quest even before hitting Level 50, as long as your character is strong enough!

Objectives
1	Speak with the Doomsayer Pira in Kyovashad After switching to World Tier 3, talk to Pira in Kyovashad to learn more about The Helltide.

The Helltide Rises Rewards

Helltide Affected Areas

After completing The Helltide Rises quest, Helltide-affected areas will now start spawning on your map. Defeating enemies in these areas will drop Abberant Cinders, which can be used to open Tortured Gifts.

What is the Helltide Event?

Tortured Gifts

Once you have enough Abberant Cinders, you can interact with Tortured Gifts (Helltide chests) to obtain different items and gear. You have the chance of obtaining Sacred Legendaries from all of the types of Tortured Gifts chests.

Differences of Tortured Gifts of Mysteries

However, Tortured Gifts of Mysteries are guaranteed to drop multiple Sacred Legendaries (3-5 pieces, as of our testing) of a random item (equipment, two-handed weapons, etc.). On the other hand, non-Mysteries just have the possibility of dropping a single (1) Sacred Legendary, if they drop 1 at all.

Non-Mysteries are good if you're targeting a single piece, while the Tortured Gift of Mysteries are good if you just want to farm the Sacred Legendaries in bulk.
