What Is the Codex of Power?
List of Unlockable Aspects
The Codex of Power lists all Aspects you can collect by completing Dungeons, progressing through the main story, and salvaging Legendaries in the Blacksmith. To view your Codex, press Y to open the Collections menu or speak to any Occultist found within major settlements in each region.
Codex Aspects Are Not Consumed on Use
You can imprint Codex Aspects on weapons, armor, and jewelry as many times as needed, provided you have enough Gold and Veiled Crystals.
How to Unlock Aspects in the Codex of Power
Complete Dungeons
You can unlock a good number of Aspects by completing Dungeons found throughout Sanctuary. However, note that Aspects Codex Aspects unlocked through dungeons will always have the lowest roll their effects. You can continue upgrading these aspects by salvaging Legendaries with higher rolls.
Salvage Legendaries
There are numerous Aspects that can only be obtained from salvaging Legendary items in the Blacksmith. You can either farm these Aspect in game activities that has a good chance of rewarding Legendaries such as Nightmare Dungeons, Kurast Undercity, Helltides, and Infernal Hordes or you can trade the Aspect you need from another player.
How to Use Codex Aspects
Imprint Gear at the Occultist
You can imprint Aspects you've obtained in the Codex of Power by visiting the nearest Occultist and opening the Imprint Aspect tab. Drag a Rare or Legendary item to the slot at the top of the tab, select the Codex Aspect of your choice, and press Imprint Aspect to apply its unique effect.
Note that imprinting Aspects onto items requires plenty of Gold and Veiled Crystals, so ensure you have enough resources before visiting the Occultist.
