Diablo 4 Gold-Spending Tips |

We recommend prioritizing using your Gold for extracting and imprinting Aspects at the Occultist. Legendary Aspects provide powerful passive effects when applied on gear, so spending your Gold to collect and imprint them is always worthwhile.
Make it a habit to purchase Health Potion upgrades at the Alchemist whenever you unlock them. These upgrades require plenty of Upgrade Materials and a decent amount of Gold, so make sure you have enough resources before visiting the Alchemist.
How to Upgrade Your Healing Potion
We also recommend prioritizing spending Gold on new storage tabs for your Stash. Buying these tabs for your Stash increases its carrying capacity, letting you hoard more Gems, Legendary Equipment, and other items. Your Stash is also shared between characters, making each stash tab upgrade a worthwhile long-term investment.
When upgrading equipment at the Blacksmith, we recommend only upgrading Rare and Legendary gear. Since purchasing upgrades have substantial Gold and Upgrade Material costs, upgrading only your Rares and Legendaries will save you resources in the long run.
You can also spend Gold to respec Skills at the Skill Tree. Note that the Gold cost for the respec feature becomes increasingly more expensive as you level up, so ensure you have enough Gold before reallocating your Skill Points.
While it might be tempting to spend all of your Gold, we recommend saving a decent amount of money for item repairs. Your equipment loses 10% durability each time you die, with items becoming broken and useless in combat once they reach 0% durability.
With this in mind, we highly suggest keeping around enough Gold to repair your items at the Blacksmith after dying to prevent them from breaking.
Early on in the game, Gold is hard to come by so it is not worth purchasing their wares. You will be constantly changing your equipment in the early levels, so the next upgrade could be just around the corner.
If you spot gear being sold that has affixes that suit your build or boost your damage, go ahead and purchase them. It might help you out in tough encounters until you get your next upgrade.
