Uniques can be farmed by joining Helltides, defeating Uber Bosses, and completing Infernal Horde runs in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn all the best Unique Item farming methods and all the new methods added from Season 10.

Defeating Lair Bosses is the best method for farming Uniques quickly. As of Season 10, summoning Lair Bosses are still free but to get their rewards you will need to open their respective Hoards using the Boss Materials.

Additionally, opening Lair Boss Hoards with other players grant bonus rewards!

Belial is the Best Lair Boss for Farming

Belial is the best Lair boss to farm as his hoard awards a loot table of your choosing from the other Lair Bosses.

Belial has a guaranteed drop of Ancestral Unique items and the highest chance of dropping Mythic Uniques, making him the best Lair Boss to farm for all your Unique needs.

Diablo 4 How to Farm Uniques with Infernal Hordes

A new feature added to the game allows you to battle the forces of hell and gather Aether during battle. Spend these Aether after besting The Fell Council to redeem several Legendaries and Unique items!

While the Infernal Horde has a decent chance of giving out Uniques, the Unique they can drop are funneled towards the new Unique items introduced in Season 6.

The Tree of Whisper's Whisper Caches also has a chance to drop unique items. We highly recommend not disregarding activities that can allow you to progress your Tree of Whisper activities for a chance to get Uniques as well as a ton of gold and crafting items!

Open Chests During Helltide

Diablo 4 How to Farm Uniques with Helltide

Helltides are one of the easiest activities to run in order to gain Uniques without having to sacrifice progression. Given they spawn every hour, Helltides will be your go-to Unique farming method.

However, do note that while these chests won't really guarantee a Unique drop, you will still need to run Helltides to get boss material drops. These mats allow you to target farm Uniques since they are used to open Grigoire's Hoard and, by extension, Duriel's Hoard later on.

Run Escalating Nightmare Dungeons

Run Escalating Nightmares

As of Season 10, you can still continue running Escalating Nightmares or Nightmare Dungeons with Horadric Strongrooms to increase your chances of obtaining uniques.

Take note that the Escalating Nightmare Sigils are a rare drop so make sure to keep an eye out for Sigil drops whenever you can.

Defeat Astaroth at the End

Beginning on Torment I difficulty, each Escalating Nightmare culminates in a boss fight against Astaroth. Defeating him grants a high chance of Unique item drops, especially when the random dungeon affixes increases the amount and type of item he drops.

Diablo 4 How to Farm Uniques with Purveyor of Curiosities

The Purveyor of Curiosities can drop Unique items together with its regular randomized wares. Choose the item type you want and buy them from the Purveyor of Curiosities for a chance to get the Unique gear you need!

Unlike Legendary Items, Uniques are one step up in rarity, dropping with a fixed Aspect and set of Affixes. The Aspect and Affix set attached to Uniques are often build-defining, making these items highly sought after during the endgame.

Mythic Uniques stand out because they have more powerful Aspects, compared to regular Unique items. As the name suggests, these are much more powerful but incredibly rare, and have an abysmally low drop rate.
