Participate in Headhunts

Season 7 introduced Headhunts, which are very similar to Helltides where they spawn Whisper bounties and activities. This event has high drop rates and allows you to turn in Grim Favors with the Raven of the Tree to seamlessly without needing to return back to the Tree of Whispers.

Drops from Whisper Caches

The Tree of Whisper's Whisper Caches also has a chance to drop unique items, which is the main gameplay loop for Season 7. We highly recommend not disregarding activities that can allow you to progress your Tree of Whisper activities for a chance to get Uniques as well as a ton of gold and crafting items!

Open Chests During Helltide

Helltides are one of the easiest activities to run in order to gain Uniques without having to sacrifice progression. Given they spawn every hour, Helltides will be your go-to Unique farming method.

However, do note that while these chests won't really guarantee a Unique drop, you will still need to run Helltides to get boss material drops. These mats allow you to target farm Uniques since they are used to summon Grigoire and, by extension, Duriel later on.

Defeat Uber Bosses to Target Farm Uniques

Defeating Uber Bosses is the next best method for farming Uniques quickly. Despite the activity being gated by the need to farm boss materials, the rewards are more than worth it especially since you have a chance to get high item power rares.

In Season 7 there will be 3 New Uniques that you can obtain from Lord Zir, Beast in the Ice Location, and Varshan so make sure to take them on as soon as you can.

Complete Infernal Horde Runs

A new feature added to the game allows you to battle the forces of hell and gather Aether during battle. Spend these Aether after besting The Fell Council to redeem several Legendaries and Unique items!

While the Infernal Horde has a decent chance of giving out Uniques, the Unique they can drop are funneled towards the new Unique items introduced in Season 6.

Run Nightmare Dungeons

Running and completing Nightmare Dungeons will also give you a chance to get Unique Items. However, in order to make this a bit more efficient, only do this when you're looking to level up your Paragon Glyphs.

Since Nightmare Dungeons take a considerable amount of time to clear, you're better off running multiple Helltides instead (especially at max glyph levels) since these tie-in directly with farming boss materials for Duriel runs.

Purchase Items from the Purveyor of Curiosities

The Purveyor of Curiosities can drop Unique items together with its regular randomized wares. Choose the item type you want and buy them from the Purveyor of Curiosities for a chance to get the Unique gear you need!

Take on Roothold Dungeons

Roothold dungeons introduced in Season 7 are also capable of dropping Unique gear through clearing mobs and uprooting Exposed Roots. Make sure you have an optimized build when taking this on as the dungeon Boss for this has a large health pool.

Uniques are High-Tier Items With Exclusive Effects

Unlike Legendary Items, Uniques are one step up in rarity, dropping with a fixed Aspect and set of Affixes. The Aspect and Affix set attached to Uniques are often build-defining, making these items highly sought after during the endgame.

Mythic Uniques stand out because they have more powerful Aspects, compared to regular Unique items. As the name suggests, these are much more powerful but incredibly rare, and have an abysmally low drop rate.
