Based on a tweet by Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora, Diablo 4's max level will be Level 100, which will take players more than 150 hours to reach on average. Players can look forward to a lengthy endgame grind as they make their way to the level 100 cap.

58 Max Skill Points Total

A single character can obtain up to 58 Skill Points. Through levels 1 to 50, a character gains 48 Skill Points, and another 10 Skill Points come from Renown.

220 Max Paragon Levels

Once a character reaches level 50, up to 220 Paragon levels can be gained every level up instead of Skill Points. Paragon levels are used in the Paragon Board and offer stronger upgrades for a character.

Level 20 Cap During Server Slam

Players are limited to a level cap of 20 during the May 12 to 14 Server Slam. The Level 20 cap means players can still obtain the Beta Wolf Pack in addition to the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy, but it also makes playing on the Veteran and Hardcore Modes much more difficult due to having lower stats and Skill Points.

First 1000 Players to Reach Level 100 on Hardcore Appear on a Physical Statue

According to the Diablo official twitter, the first 1,000 players to reach level 100 while playing on Hardcore Mode will have their username permanently recorded on a physical statue of Lilith, the game's mascot. Hardcore Mode reverts to standard mode as soon as the player dies even once, so this is no easy task!

The wording of the tweet doesn't make it clear exactly which Statue of Lilith this is, but according to the detailed contest rules, this will be a “physical statue of Blizzard’s choice”, not an in-game element.

No Confirmed Rewards for Reaching Level 100

As of writing, official sources have not yet listed any specific rewards or achievements specifically for reaching Level 100 in Diablo 4. However, some Achievements reward players with exclusive Titles for reaching level 100 under certain other conditions.

However, we speculate that there will be related rewards in the Season Journey for hitting the level cap and that having a max-level character will be beneficial when tackling the game's numerous pieces of endgame content.
