Seasonal Rebirth Will Not be Coming to Season 1

Diablo 4 - Seasonal Rebirth Not Yet Confirmed
During the July Developer Update Livestream, the developers confirmed that you will have to create a new character in order to participate in the upcoming first season of Diablo 4.

The developers did not directly talk about Seasonal Rebirth, but they did mention that they are looking to add additional features in the upcoming seasons. There is a good chance that we will see Seasonal Rebirth in future updates!

In Diablo 3, Seasonal Rebirth was a feature that allowed players to transform their old non-Seasonal characters into Level 1 Seasonal characters, mailing their old non-Seasonal gear to their Stash. This mechanic allowed players to play through Seasons without creating new characters.
