Diablo 4 - (Language Settings) How to Change Voice and Text Language

This guide will cover how to change between languages in Diablo 4 (D4). See how to change both text and voice language, as well as all available language options!

How to Change Language

Accessed from the Options Screen

Diablo 4 Game Menu

After logging into Diablo 4, open up the Game Menu screen from the Characters screen, and then select Options.

Find Language Settings Under Sound

Diablo 4 Sound Options

From the Options menu, go to the Sound tab, and then scroll down until you see Subtitles. From here, you can click on Text Locale to change the language used in game text menus and subtitles, or Speech Locale to change the language of speech audio.

When downloading Diablo 4 from a region outside of your native one, the audio language may be in that region's language by default, so be sure to check this setting before starting to hear your preferred language!

Cannot Be Done During Play

Leave Game

Although the Options and Sound menus are accessible during gameplay, both of the language tabs will be grayed out and unable to change. To change language settings, you will need to leave the game first, then change them from the Character Select Screen.
