You can get Veiled Crystals by killing Elite monsters starting from World Tier 3 and salvaging Rare gear in Diablo 4 (D4). Check out how to farm and use Veiled Crystals, and learn more about this rare crafting material!
List of Contents
Veiled Crystals frequently drop from Elite monsters in World Tier 3 and higher. Given this, you can quickly farm a decent amount of Veiled Crystals by clearing Dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons on these difficulties due to their frequent Elite spawns.
We highly recommend farming Aldurwood when gathering Veiled Crystals, as the Dungeon has plenty of tightly-knit enemies and Elites and features a straightforward layout and easy objectives
In addition, due to the Dungeon's high mob density, you can also pick up plenty of Rare items in a short time, which you can salvage at the Blacksmith for even more Veiled Crystals.
You can also get Veiled Crystals from salvaging weapons, armor, and jewelry of Rare quality and above at any of the Blacksmiths found in Diablo 4.
To salvage Rare equipment, head to a Blacksmith and navigate to the Salvage tab. Once there, click the pickaxe icon before clicking on the items you want to scrap. Alternatively, you can select the Rare button under the Salvage by Item Quality menu for a quicker procedure.
However, note that Veiled Crystals are not guaranteed drops from salvaging gear. With this in mind, in addition to the importance of Veiled Crystal in late-game upgrades, prioritize salvaging as many Rare items as you can while progressing through the game.
You primarily use Veiled Crystals to upgrade your weapons, armor, and jewelry to higher tiers. These yellow crystals are part of the material requirements for an item's 3rd, 4th, and 5th upgrade tiers.
Visit the nearest Blacksmith if you want to upgrade your weapons and armor, then head to the Jeweler afterward to upgrade your rings and amulets.
You can also use Veiled Crystals to imprint Legendary Aspects and enchant items at the Occultist. Imprinting allows you to add Aspects to Rare items or overwrite existing Aspects on Legendary items. Enchanting lets you reroll an item's existing Affix into something else.
While each service is different, they both require a large sum of Gold and additional crafting materials on top of the necessary Veiled Crystals.
