I just got 23 Star fragments, though that included the horoscope ones so maybe that's what threw it off? Or maybe there was a game update since the article? I had also previously heard that 20 was the max.

I've definitely gotten way more than 20 star fragments, I just had shooting stars and I got 30 regular fragments and 2 Capricorn fragments.

Info regarding visitor wishes is incorrect. "20 Max Star Fragments from Visitors' Wishes. You get 1 Star Fragment for every 5 wishes your visitors make. A separate 20-fragment limit applies to visitors' wishes." I dont know what the actual mechanics are but I did this...20+ wishes as follows from each...myself, my alt island, my wifes primary and secondary island. That's me +3 visitors. According to what is stated I should get 32 stars I picked up 33 normal, 3 Gemini, 2 large. Please fix this.

Hello! Just wanted to echo some other people's comments here and concur you can get more than 20 fragments on your island. There's a hard limit of 20 while wishing on a friend's island (at least that's the most I've gotten the three times I've done it) but on my own island it seems to be limited by how many wishes you make.

My island had a meteor shower last night. I have two characters on my island, myself and my husband's. Wishing on stars last night with two guests for about three hours got us 80 total star pieces on our beach (It took all day to collect them). So it looks like this site's observations are valid. 40 stars per profile. Just an FYI, might want to register more Nintendo profiles and then start new characters. I picked up stars as both characters, 33 as me and 47 as my husband.

Do multiple profiles on one account each get there own stars? I play with my brother and don't want him stealing my stars!! lol

These numbers are definitely wrong. My first Meteor shower I wished on over 200 Stars in one night and had over 40 regular fragments with no visitors. Plus the additional zodiac and large frags. That was in March.

Just got 40 fragments today! Yesterday I have 6-7 visitors for the whole night. Had so much fun! XD

I read this while I happened to be picking up star frags on my Shoreline. I have to say - I have more than 40 total fragments. I have 35 regular ones, 4 zodiac, 9 Large Fragments. I had one guest on my island , plus myself. I am not miscalculating either as I am stating at them all in my pocket now. So either I’m really lucky or something is off. If it matters, I did TT to my March shower date. I only did it the one time... no hopping back and forth at all.

I wish I had known about the limit of 20 last night before spending nearly 2 hours wishing on 250 stars at a friend’s island :/
