ACNH - A resident finds a washed-up gyroid on the beach

In Version 2.0.4, you can now find Gyroid Fragment washed up on your beach!

Find Gyroid Fragments from Kapp'n's Boat Tours

ACNH - Finding a Gyroid Fragment on a Mysterious Island

Gyroid Fragments appear as buried items when visiting Mysterious Islands through Kapp'n's Boat Tours. Take out your shovel and dig out the hole to unearth the gyroid, just like you would with fossils!

Guaranteed One Gyroid Fragment Each Visit

ACNH - Ride Kapp

Each Mysterious Island is guaranteed one Gyroid Fragment! They seem to exclusively appear on Mysterious Islands visited through Kapp'n's Boat Tours and can't be found on islands visited via Dodo Airlines.

Before you grow a Gyroid Fragment, you'll have to find one first! Remember you can only find Gyroid Fragments on Kapp'n's Boat Tours!

2. Plant and Water Gyroid Fragments

ACNH - Plant and Water Gyroid Fragments on Your Island

After finding a Gyroid Fragment from Kapp'n's Mysterious Islands, bring them back to your island to plant them. You can bury Gyroid Fragments on your island's soil or on your beach's sand.

From your inventory, bury the Gyroid Fragment in a hole, then use your Watering Can to water the hole.

3. Grow Gyroid Fragments Overnight

ACNH - Grow Gyroid Fragments Overnight

After a day passes, check back to where you planted your Gyroid Fragment. You'll soon dig up a brand new Gyroid!

There doesn't appear to be any way you can influence which Gyroid to get but there are plenty of unique ones to keep an eye out for.
