The Wet Suit is required to swim in the Ocean. Pushing the D-pad in any direction allows you to swim slowly, while holding the A Button lets you swim faster.
The Wet Suit is classified as a full-body outfit, but it can be worn over your normal clothes, so you don't need to change what you're wearing if you plan to swim!
Wet Suits behave similarly to the costumes you set on wands. This means you can't change clothes using the closet or use the Able Sisters' dressing room.
You will need to unequip the wet suit to change clothes using the closet or browse items in the Able SIsters' dressing room.
Like parasols, wet suits are stored in the Fashion Items category of your house's storage. You will need to scroll down to the very last part to find your stored wet suit if you have a lot of stored clothing.
