    I caught the Gigas and the Isopod by slowly swimming up to it before diving. Sorry to tell you that you did not need to mash the A. Just like bugs, creeping up to them makes it easier.

    I remember the first time I was trying to catch a Gigas giant clam, I mashed the A button for what felt like 15 minutes.

    Had a similar experience with a Gigas Giant Clam. Wish I knew then that the net along the border isn’t an escape route for them. Spent 10 minutes smashing that “A” Button while herding it away from the one thing that could easily end my right thumb’s suffering. BTW, the bubbles will stop running away once if you stop fast swimming towards them. Then you can just try again to nail the dive. Of course, that being said, pushing them to the border net is the much better plan.

    some are difficult to chase. i chased a spider crab for 10 minutes, I wanted to throw the switch xD
